Not a ride pic, but it did make for some entertaining times.

After house hunting in SLC last night my buddy showed me around some of the Wasatchs kookier trails.

For those of you who were watching ski movies during the heyday of Utah mine tailing gaps, this is the Leviathan gap. Relatively tiny landing and trees and rocks on either side. Sketch.

Got to drop in from an old mine though which was sweet.

Gotta say, some nice sunsets down here.

Also, if you are currently in possession of an area 2 BR that's dog friendly with garage and yard, pls PM. Thanks!

Hey grskier, I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on the riding in and around C'dale... contemplating a move down there next spring. If you have a few minutes, shoot me a PM.

Here are a few shots from Golden Gate Canyon SP this morning. Such an underrated (and under-visited) riding spot so close to Denver/Golden/Boulder. I guess the $7 entry fee shuns the masses.

Looks more like across the pond then across the continent. Is that someone's cabin or a hut?

Top of Ferrins in Jackson with new carbony bits. In case you're wondering, the new Skyline trail is currently a sandbox. Not that I would know...

    that looks cool and terrifying.

This is a picture of me from a couple of days ago, contemplating things like what would happen if my brakes suddenly stopped working for no conceivable reason.

This was today's somewhat more relaxed afternoon ride

I've never ridden there. Is it everything as gnarly and stunt-ridden as I've heard and it (sort of) looks in your pictures?

Seriously. It only takes one crash with them to be so glad you had them.

Says the guy with a finger that still seems kind of out of joint but who's too lazy to get an x-ray cause it doesn't hurt very much.

Gnarly: yeah. Most of it is steep and rocky, although mellower stuff does exist. But I wouldn't say it's much rowdier than other bc spots like whistler, pemberton, North shore, etc.

Stunt-ridden. Not really. There's a few trails (like the one in my pics) that still have some functional features, but most of the wood stuff around nelson is old and doesn't seem to get ridden much. Most of the good trails are 99% natural.
