yep it's a pretty sweet local ride. there are some fun options for riding in the city these days. trail fairies are alive and well.
I didn't get into the all-mountain this year so I guess I'm just doing the XC. you should do it.
Some stuff from around Breckenridge. iPhone pics...
Last night, polarizing filter aka my sunglasses.
Near Keystone about a month ago, a week or two before closing day. The biking was amazing.
Further up the trail on Keystone's closing day.

well, after a winter of battling back from shattering t4,5,6,and 7 at the bike park, it was nice to get back on dirt yesterday. a little sore from the up but all good and the dirt was super tack. POV warning
Some Gooseberry fun from the other weekend.

Upper Flume indeed. I live right at the bottom of them, so I ride them a few times a week, either on their own or on the way to somewhere else. I was up on Boreas Pass the other day, even poked around a bit on bakers tank. I can't believe how high I've been able to go with out hitting snow so far this spring.

Edgnar, those pics take me back. I miss the riding around Breck. Also used to live near the bottom of the Flume. One of my favorite rides was linking up all those trails in your pics, Breck to Keystone to Dillon, cruising up to Old Dillon Reservoir to Frisco, and up Peaks trail back to Breck for an around the county loop. Gotta get back there one of these summers to hammer out some rides.

These pics are from today during a 30 mile loop from starting and ending at my front door. Mileage can be added or subtracted in dozens of ways by linking up different trails. About 4 miles is on pavement or bike path. 95% of the rest of it is any variation of singletrack you could ever want. It seems weird to be able to ride all these trails in May. There aren't even flowers or buds on the trees yet. Summit is very, very dry.
I like where I live.
Went out for the first time since an achilies injury about a little over a year ago. Had the wife with me so we kept it easy.
Little 10 mile loop around the open space at Standley Lake. Took some pics but not many turned out. Not that it's very photogenic around there anyways.
I'm heading out to do something a little more adventurous early next week sans wife; I need to give golf a break and have some fun on my bike. Thinking about hitting up Hall Ranch if it dries out enough from the weekend rains we're supposed to get.

Had to do work time in the RFV so the lunch ride framed Sopris

Hello weekend.
Gotta quickie in after work, and after finishing some work on the new build.
Seems like the only good spots to stop and take pics, are among the less scenic on my rides.
Gonna be one hell of a weekend.
So this pic made me go ride up to Mt. Sutro.... I took a couple wrong turns and ended up on some hiking trails for a bit, but then eventually found myself cruising up to the summit "meadow." I had no idea those trails even existed. Pretty fun for a quick pedal when you don't have time to get out of the city!
My orders came through. My squadron ships out tomorrow. We're bombing the storage depots at Daiquiri at 1800 hours. We're coming in from the north, below their radar.
