There was more snow than I expected on the trails today

Once I lost a bit of elevation things got better, just had to take it a little slow for awhile

Then I met some people and went to a few breweries.

Ride home was cold and wet.

Night riding under the snow guns this week in Jackson. Fresh dusting on the trails last night... Excited to get back out there tonight!

Falls the best time to ride in Chicago. We don't have the terrain, so I take my best biking buddy.

Vizsla's are killer MTB dogs. Rudi did 60 miles this weekend.

Thanks. Been doing that one for a while though. It just was right with the light and the leaves down yesterday.

My buddy Jon C. took this photo of HVSkier and I night biking alongside the snow guns on Snow King the other night. People be all hyped on the skiable terrain up high, but trails are still ripe for the shredding down low in Jackson! #huzzah

Yea, practice run. Those jackets have been in our closets for almost 20 years and seen very little use. They were so awesome during the day, now they feel like Carhart pants. Fucking fantastic for cold muddy chairlift days though!

Funny how many of us moved here for the skiing but end up loving the mtb as much. Blasphemy perhaps but I am right there with you haha

Haha totally. I mean, I know this is sacreligious, but I enjoyed the last few rides quite a bit more than my first ski tour this year.... :/

Same here. In SLC the season is twice as long (year-round even with the easy half-day drive to St. George), but more importantly for me biking is just so much less conditions-dependent. I'm at a point in my life where with skiing it's hard to jump on it when conditions are prime. With biking as long as it's not currently raining you're golden, nothing is ever tracked out, and you never have to worry about dying in a fucking avalanche (#meadowskippingisboringasfuck).

I live in SF but still have not hit that yet. I thought you were a north bay guy? I guess that's worth the $6 dollar bridge fare!

I heard that trail can be a bit spicy, you ride it on flats or clipped?
