Probably similar to your 'O' face.

Not sure why I felt compelled to say that.

Grrrreat! Awesome old-school trail user group keeps them in pretty tip-top shape. Good stuff. A decent amount of new, flowy, beginner/fun speedy trails from above the husk of a lodge over into the State Park and towards the campgrounds. Good stuff. VT riding is kind of killing it these days. Latest rumor is that southern Green Mountain Forest land is starting to get trail built for biking (after decades of resistance), Killington area is in the veery early (and a little dumb to be honest) stages of developing the valley with xc trails, Okemo is developing its park pretty quickly, Killington Mtn. is growing nicely and the Waterbury-Stowe area seems to be drawing big. If only there was a decent trail network in the NE corner of the state...

so glad that mountain biking is taking over as one of the biggest cross-over sports from skiing. I think it was tennis and golf for a long time.
they are finally seeing the potential from building more trails instead of hindering mtn biking

Yep. For me it was always golf, but it gets so slow nowadays and with kids it can be difficult to get away for 5+ hours. Much easier to go on a quick 1.5 - 2 hour MTB ride. Plus, fitness. Supposedly it's good for you.

Great day at targhee - we thought it might be a bit wet but turned out to be perfect. There was like a total of 3.28 feet of mud and the rest was perfection.

The last pic is of the new trail that goes off the other side from the top. Pretty loose and steep at the top and then chills out (my hands were pretty much frozen in the bar position after that run)
Needless to say Targhee is great and still somewhat of a summer hidden gem. The bluegrass fest was also rolling so it was fun to dance on the chair to fiddle music too

    I want your bike.^

Funny, I remember the first time I went to a bike park, felt like I was walking around with two claws instead of hands at the end of the day.

yea we don't ride lift serviced that often ( a few x a summer) and my hands and forearms are always the first things to fail. We totally like to do the claw high five- can't....flatten...hand
groovy UVM? andrew and I are from there too
also- it's the bf's bike- he's gotten like 5 new bikes for every 1 of mine haha - classic!

That trail is sick. They did a great job of incorporating lots of different flavors into it.

My daughter Sky had her first day mountain biking at the demo day of the Meyers Mountain Bike Festival Saturday. Despite going over the bars multiple times, i think she's hooked.

And now your hooked for a few grand. My wife ran into an old coworker who's kids were on 10k dollar bikes. She told them college or a bike. Make your choice. We ditched a car at the first gate and rode cold creek to freel pass and down. Ended up trying to help a guy with a concussion at the bottom of corral. We asked him a few questions and he refused all treatment so then we asked him what number would he call if he needed medical assistance and he said well I live in SF so I don't know. Guy still wouldn't go get checked out. His helmet was cracked pretty bad too.

wow that's bold of the parents. Good on them for wanting their kids to do what makes them happy, but kinda seems like maybe they ought to steer them in a more productive direction and teach them that you can still have a sweet bike.
Not too many people can make a living just riding- and what happens when that 10k bike is not the latest and greatest. Guess they can work at the bike shop and get deals the rest of their lives.

The Wambulance came and picked him up at last rest stop for the triple crown ride (which he was not part of), he looked pretty beat up.

Turned out to be a great weekend for riding
