Nice to get out on mostly dry trails and no humidity. Good view of the hump.

On the ride up I saw some fresh deer tracks. Coming down found mama and two fawns.

Stumbled upon this huck today. Bike is sitting above the transition landing. They used sandbags to build it. End of the runout is a 20'+ gap option. This is more than 37% above my pay grade.

The Caribou Jack enduro is something special. After 30 miles and 7K of elevation gain (and a couple of beers), I'm already stoked for next year's event! It wouldn't have been possible without all of the volunteers running timing and, most importantly, the aid stations along the way. Photographer, Ben Gavelda, took so many killer shots. I love the last one of my buddy Garth charging down the chunk.
Super interested in this... I might be heading your way next summer. Looks like a proper huge day in the mountains, and fun racing to boot!

First time there for me... it was pretty heavily beat by horses. Maybe it always is, given that it's a portal for deep Bob trips? Whole trail was that perfectly tractionless dry-ass summer horse kickmix of 50% moondust, 25% babyheads, and 25% horseshit amidst varying severity of fuckn rock tech.

Of course I picked the day before archery opener so folks had been packing in hunting camps. Squeaked out of the trailhead right before a group of ten pack animals! Luckily didn't encounter a single soul all day.

Ya, that’s the problem I’ve found with anything leading to the Bob. All the main corridors are a horse fucked mess. Lots of trails with great potential that are either ankle deep moon dust or ankle deep mud depending on weather. Pretty rad in that area on foot off the trails though for sure!

Lower Bunker Creek where they put in several miles of new trail to bypass the road is super fun. Click image for larger version.

Got drizzled on a bit. Was borderline death mud for a sec.
It’s the trail formerly known as Swerve, now I think it might be Lupine? Usually calling it the cliff trail above Sailing Hawks is good ID.
