Sunset lap on Doctor. Turned light on for the last 1/2 mile. Super quiet, had the trail to myself.

Checked out a new(to me) trail up skalkaho. Only 2.5mi to a grayling filled lake. Fair bit of hike a bike but so much old school jank. Large boulder sections that made me surprised I made it down with no flats, broken derailleur or some over the bars action. I dont think many people bike it but I had a freaking blast! Hopefully gonna go link up a bit of the bitteroot divide after a wedding this weekend. Click image for larger version.

When I was in college I was camping at that lake with a friend and we had a bunch of grayling frying in the pan for dinner when he decided to chop his hand badly with a hatchet. We were really high and suddenly we had blood spurting, the whole deal. Dressed the wound, doused the fire, packed up our shit and hiked out to get him to the emergency room in Hamilton. It was intense. /thread drift

From today in Western Mass, perfect day for a grind. Comp Edge BBQ ride in Hatfield. 60 miles of beautiful mixed surface roads and some really fun pave’ sections. 6,000’ of climbing in perfect weather. Had two Hot Dogs a baked potato, coleslaw, and fresh corn off the grill. Fertile valley the Connecticut River is.
