Great ride today with Kai_ski in the Devil's gulch area around Mission Ridge. Some nice techie rock riding. Thanks for a great day, man.

Did a pretty awesome ride in CB today... while the hordes of tourists were shopping on Elk Ave, we rode 20+ miles and saw two other riders on the trails.

A few pics from a loop that was new to us. Some lung-busting uphill, some wild gorgeous singletrack, some janky straight-downhill, some amazing wildflowers through the burn. And no people.

Then to finish it off with Bighole BBQ.... now that's a Sunday afternoon: http://bigholebbqjackson.wixsite.com/victorsite/home

Go forth and ride, then bring back pics

Didn't know where to put this so I'll ask here: anyone have a good trail recommendation near Denver / in the Front Range area that goes through an aspen forest? The closest I can think of is Guenalla Pass.

What is all that green stuff in these pictures?

It rained ash last night...gonna be a looooooong August in these parts. In the meantime, I guess we'll just enjoy this fresh mountain air:

Fun weekend of riding and racing in Pomerelle. Great little mom-and-pop style ski area. Ridiculous moon dust on the trails in places, but still a lot of fun once you got used to it.

    Flowers everywhere

Saturday's podium for Cat3 6-8. The fastest time of the day was just under 3 minutes. These two put in times of 4:40 and 5:40, respectively. Pretty impressive. The course was no joke on 20" wheels and (in Sam's case) no rear suspension.

Nice lake just up the road to cool off in.

Some good ones in GGCSP, and also in Ned. Hit me up if you ever want to go out and shoot/ride.

I hear you man, same smoky haze over by Helena although you guys do have it worse right now. However I went down to Big Sky on Sunday and it was nice and lush, cooler temps, greenery, been raining...I rode the Mountain to Meadow trail for the first time. F'ing awesome fun, almost 3,000 foot descent, miles of nice banked turns. Highly recommended if you need to get away from the brown-hills fire scene. My pics don't do it justice but here's a couple anyway.

How's the heat and smoke in Helena? Headed over next week for work and I doubt what I'm doing will take very long.
    No longer stuck.

Hit or miss with the smoke, it kind of moves in and out. Temps have been upper 90s for weeks, but now it's cooled off a bit. Supposed to be 80s next week I think. I'm heading to Minnesota to visit family and have some lake time.

Yeah mountain to meadow is a great ride till the lower section gets brake jacked all to hell. Kinda annoying certain people and ranches are getting all pissy about people riding certain trails to avoid pavement at bottom. Big Sky has really stepped it up in the last 3 yrs with trail system outside the resort as well. Plus hitting margaritas and ceviche at albertos after the ride is pretty awesome ( if the lady decides to be open).

Yes east coast buddy visiting so went back up "keystone standard basin trail". North of revelstoke . Very few people. Frisby ridge just opened so I'm thinking that's where the masses were
