A few shots from a quick trip to Vernal, Utah. Only 5.5 hrs from Driggs, but sun, red rock, sandals. Whew I needed that. And Panchosdad got a new bike- first outing for Intense Spider which gets 5 full stars .
Some fun little whoop-de-doos:
Sweet free camping in the junipers:
And here's Panchosdad- Serendipity swoopy downhill on the Spider.

I hurt my foot and haven't been able to ski or walk properly for a few weeks. Turns out what I can do just fine is pedal a bike, so I have restarted my cluessless jong goes biking activities. Our abundance of forest roads and lack of snow are providing a good way to tire myself out, although I would admittedly rather do something else right now.
It pleases me greatly when people with e-bikes have to get off and push.

Ich bitte dich nur, weck mich nicht.
Been getting out on the roads in Montana and being a rude cyclist a lot the last couple weeks, since it finally seems to not be winter any more. Lot of snow on most of the trails but I think next week I will try to get out on the MTB. There appear to be a few clear trails around.
The bitterroots are a nice mountain range
They have a bunch of good breweries too, but I'm not a fan of some of the people down there.
Yeah it is, I've seen a bunch of people riding it, and even up past there to to the saddle, and some of blue mountain appears to be clear. The little short trails up bass creek were also pretty dry. We went up the road a bit and then decided it was best to take the singletrack back down on road bikes.
^Love those Montana pics!

Yeah, just road MoZ. Interesting to hear about the Bass trails. Up the creek? No, must be the ones that run north-south. Those get a lot of sun. Seems like there's a bunch of new ones up there? I don't ride it a lot so it's hard too tell other than the 3' wide sandy equestrian trails that the main ones have become.
Unfortunately, the X Fusion fork on my Canfield is still clunking and now leaking like a sieve so I dropped that off. I'm not sure the guys at Open Road really know much about X Fusion suspension, but they usually do good work, and we have a good relationship doing work for each other. And my old Kona's fork really needs a rebuild. Guess I won't be riding much this week. :/ Me and the dog need to get back in shape, we're getting old.
No getting old, Wally! No!
Fast and frozen south of Boston this morning. Trails are shaping up nicely down here.
^^ Nice. All I've got here is melting piles of muck and mire. Hopefully the warm rain today takes care of that and the mud gets a chance to dry up later this week. I have a feeling that dry is a relative thing though, the next few weeks look like they're going to be in and out wet with storms of varying intensity rolling through every 3 or 4 days.

formerly an ambassador for a few others, but the ski industry is... interesting.
Fukt: a very small amount of snow.
Trails are starting to clear up around here. You can ride a lot of blue mountain, up mount sentinel, and some of the stuff in sawmill. I've been on two whole mountain bike rides this year now

More snow now than at this time last year i think. April 7th we were at the snowbowl overlook which you probably can't do today.
