Joetron, pretty interesting surface, there was a rain crust down lower, this seemed more like a super consolidated wind packed heavy Sierra cement surface. Not icy at all, lower down though was super icy, we had a snow mobile track that made it easy to get though the lower stuff though.

^^^Pretty much my thoughts on the matter. Looks fun as shit for the few days a season that snowboarding would kinda suck.

Indoor stoke. He finally worked up the nerve to hit the airbag and is completely hooked now.

^^^I love how he and the bike are light enough that he just strides right off. Maybe he'll learn to pedal off the bag Awesome seeing your son get better and better. Ripper!

    hopefully no injury

Did a unique ride yesterday along an abandoned railroad line through a desert gorge with 16 tunnels and 21 trestles. Including the largest wooden railroad trestle.

That's as good as it gets for flat "bike path" type riding. Way cool.

Showed a friend around Palm Canyon to ring in the New Year.

I was stoked to see water flowing at crossings on Indian Potrero for the first time in 5 years.

We had the place all to ourselves except for 3 hikers.

Just got my first FS mountain bike in a dozen years. Took it out for a little shakedown spin in the tunnels next to PQ canyon here in San Diego. Next going to cut the bars down and get a dropper post. Fun to be back out on the trails. If anyone's from San Diego and wants to hook up for a ride, lemme know. I'm not fast on the climbs or technical decents yet, just getting back into this. But having fun already.

^^I am in San diego too, as is 406. The forecast says we won't be riding much for a while! Good on you for getting back into it, tons of great riding to be had around here

I headed out to Phx this weekend for a big ride.

Got rained on heavily for 15mins at one point, after that it was all rainbows and unicorns. The unicorns may have been a hallucination.

Sweet, when will he be there? I can't believe the progress Sam has made in the last couple weeks. 3 weeks ago he had yet to hit the airbag and would would only timidly roll that jump. Last night was the first time he had even gotten his front tire onto the tranny, and only a few jumps later he's boosting it to the moon like that. No way he would have done that without all the airbag reps he's gotten in lately.
