Cool ya i've considered just going with the steel frame and if i did that i'd just move all my parts over cept for shifter, derailleur, cassette and run it 32-18 SS and be done with it. I've got a guy that wants to buy my bike once the new frame comes in and he'd get a sick deal as i got a sick deal (kona bro-deal) so that's most likely what i'll do then i'll just buy a rigid SS to compliment the fatty and call it good. Honzo's are FUN!

    Haha. Good looking out.

I've got some knee/shin pads for when it's nasty and all downhill. And some pedal friendly knee pads for the less nasty - more pedally trails. This one was below knee pad coverage, my bigger pads might have caught it, but there is no way I'm wearing those things pedaling around PC.

Rootskier, that picture is fucking awesome. Great moment.

Gorgeous 3 hour mixed surface family ride today on what must be the nicest day of the year, so nice in fact that the MTB will see some action in an hour or so. We love not working Mondays

Weekend in wild country along the Idaho/ Montana border. Lost Trail/ Warm Springs Ridge one day, then a crazy remote shuttle ride on the Idaho side of the Bitterroot. Photo of Panchosdad with me in the background, low in Hughes Creek. Go there while you can.Click image for larger version.

    To clarify-
First day we did a regular Lost Trail Pass to Warm Springs Ridge as part of the Lost Trail Shuttle Fest. Gotta support local bike groups, right? Unbelievable that the Bitterroot has lost 180 miles of trails in the last year. http://www.mtbproject.com/trail/5933500

Then second day, we rode Butcherknife to Ax Park, down Hughes Creek. On the west side of 93, up above where the North Fork splits off. http://www.mtbproject.com/trail/7008646

I really want to do this one too: http://www.singletracks.com/bike-tra...men-creek.html

Yeah, it's ridiculous about the Bitterroot. I used to live in Hamilton and some of the rides I would do from my house are now closed for no reason.

I was at the Shuttle Fest, too. That pic of me falling into the creek is from the Overwhich Falls ride.

Didn't quite make the creek crossing.
One of the members of our group did that exact same thing, and I'm pretty sure it was in that exact location.

    Gotta stay left!

Afternoon delite. Ride #2 no less beautiful. Rollin from the driveway to thousands and thousands of acres and dozens of miles of underutilized trail. Ahhhhhhh 7psi fatty bliss.

Rode the Curly Lake Highline trail last week. I had heard reports previous to heading out that the trail was pretty blown out and beat up due to increased traffic and dirt bikes. And unfortunately, the beta was correct. A lot of switchbacks have become pretty gnarly to down right ugly, and a lot of flow was removed do to rough and loose trail surfaces on the descent. Still an unbelievably beautiful ride and good time, but it's not what it once was.
