Fukt: a very small amount of snow.
Archive shot. Goes back a ways. NH xc race where they had us wear our number plate on back of jersey, WTF? That old custom vicious cycles chromo fork was the best fork evar. PINK! The Independent Fabrications Ti frame was sweet till i broke it. Rollin 1X almost a decade before 1X was teh koolaid. 2nd overall on the day was a good day.

Got in some good adventure riding yesterday
The beginning of trail after a 10mi/2500ft road climb
At the start there were a good amount of downed trees, which I did not expect so soon after the "gran fondo" that was up there.
Hey, we're riding!
Then the trail got very steep
Fuck
Cha-paa-qn (sleeping woman), renamed from squaw peak out of political correctness:
Turns out a few friends of mine were up there at the time.
Finally done with the first climb, seems like it won't be as bad from now on?
Descent from there was good, although my fork was not working right. The fitting for the lockout has started leaking, which means it can't open the compression damper and is basically rigid. It does move a bit and blow open on harder hits. Still a little painful.
Trail was pretty freshly built in some places:
In others you're pushing across a scree field
we came from over there
The flathead valley and mission mountains to the NE
Looking down the ninemile valley toward town, bitterroot mountains back there in the center/right
Riding
The trail continues along the ridge but that was enough for us and we descended back to the valley. Trail down was pretty good but steep and had lots of big log waterbars- hard on the brakes. I hear it was pretty much impassable not too long ago and my friend described his last attempt down there as his worst day ever on a bike.
Back to the car on the road. We pretty much rode across all those mountains back there
The FS, MTB missoula guys, and the backcountry horsemen all did a ton of work getting that trail back into shape. Lot of hike a bike but definitely worth the effort and I'd like to try the rest of the trail.

Nice ride Jamal!
2016 Honzo Steel frame. That's why I asked. Heavy frame but I'm enjoying the ride. I believe that the 2017 batch will have a boost rear axle, which, despite modular sliding dropouts, may not be compatible with even 12x142 spacing (upshot means a new rear wheel may be needed to use warranty replacement frame)
Mile 1 and negative 100' of 20+ and 3800' gained. We were naive.
I am not in these, but picture me rollin'
Someone once told me that I ski like a Scandinavian angel.
