I think part of the point of the lottery is to keep people from camping out. With a lottery there is no incentive to get to the window in much time before they go on sale. you could walk up to the window 15 minutes before sale time and get the first in line ticket number. I'd probably still get there maybe 30 minutes or so early just to see how the system is going to work and sort through the chaos that will be there, so you don't screw it up when they start lining people up, but any more than that is pointless. Sometimes they only give out so many tickets as well, so you want to make sure you get there early enough to get a ticket, but again, it doesn't have to be all that early.

Ticketmaster has done the lottery system forever, at least I remember them doing it in NW Indiana when I was a kid.

There was an interesting story in the WSJ about what you're up against when trying to order tickets on-line:

    Hannah Montana Battles the Bots
    Ticketmaster Tries to Block Software
That Lets Resellers Grab Hot Concert Seats
    http://online.wsj.com/public/article...723149557.html

If you go to Coors Field and draw a low number you might have a fighting chance to buy some tickets if you get to the window before they're all sold to the thousands of people trying to buy on-line.
Just an idea, but everybody in Denver who wants to go to a game or two should get together and try and buy tickets from multiple locations on monday. (Coors Field, Dugout stores, multiple computers on-line) One or two people will probably get lucky and be able to buy the max. number of tickets and then split them with the others in the group. It would require a little cooperation and trust, but it would increase everyone's chance of at least getting to go to a game.
I'd go in on it, but it looks like I'm going to be out of town during the home dates.

There's a bunch of tickets on Stubhub, starting at $65 for Sunday's game. Never used them, looks like the fees will add $20 or so, but still a pretty decent deal. Any caveats? thanks....

Fack it, pulled the trigger. Only live once, right? StubHub, Sec 129, lower level right behind the plate, ~$140 total w/fees, graft, gratuity, etc. Starting to sound like a good chance of spending 100 for a way upper seat, 40 more is just one night out forsaken. Done. Rationalized. Psyched. Go Wings!!!!!!!!!! Oops, I mean Rox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I may have two good tickets available for a good price (~$125) if anyone's interested. The tickets are in the lower level.... assuming I can pick them up today.

I feel like an idiot, I was talking w/ my boss today about taking some time off Monday morning to buy WS tickets when she asked me if I wanted to wait a week to buy them. Sure enough, WS tickets for Rockies won't go on sale until the 22nd. At least by then we'll know for sure that the Rox are in the WS.

Wow if I lived in Denver I would be all over this, and I don't even root for the Rockies! Although, I would like them to get to the WS over the Dbags.

I think I'm going to have to sell my tickets to monday's game. I have an evaluation at work on Tuesday, and I really don't think I'll do well if I go to the game, nor will I have much time to prepare for it, do lesson plans etc.

If anyone's interested in the tickets, PM me. They are print at home, so I can email them to you or I will be in Denver this weekend, so I can meet you somewhere.

The seats are section 115, row 2, seats 1-4. I bought them right before going to the wildcard playoff. They were $315 or so with all the fees. It looks like you can get section 115 tickets on stubhub for 115 to 125 (with one pair for 500each), so I would like $400 for them. I'm guessing since they are row 2 I could probably ask more. I don't really want to split them up.

I'm really bummed about selling these, but I was pretty worthless the day after going to the wild card playoff, and I'd imagine I'd be even worse since this is an 8pm game (plus the drive back to Leadville puts me getting home no earlier than 2am).

    EDIT: Tickets are tentatively sold.
