I'm looking for a couple of tickets for either of the NLCS home games as well if anyone happens to have a line. Hoping to try and find someone that isn't looking to make a fortune on them if possible. Thanks.

Preseason odds on the Rockies winning the World Series were 25,000 to 1. If they win, a $100 bet would net you a cool $2.5Mil-house. Nice.

So not face value. But about as cheap as they come.

I don't plan on sitting there anyway.

If you really want to go to the NLCS games in Denver just show up early with cash in hand. Tickets are always available to Denver games. Obviously single tickets are the easiest to find and if you work the parking lots you can usually find an extra single, or two, for face value. It's well known around the state that it's technically illegal to sell tickets for more then face value in the city of Denver, so a lot of paranoid out-of-towners just dump their extra tickets for face as soon as they park.
Also, regular scalpers work all of the street corners within a block or two of the field, so just stay outside of them and hit up the fans headed towards the game for an extra ticket or two. If you can't find anything out there, just wait and then talk to the pro scalpers at game time. They're probably gonna be sitting on a ton of tickets. It's just ticket scalping 101, but I think it's a little easier to get tickets on the street in Denver vs. a lot of other cities- some people know how to play the game, but a lot of people are clueless.

You could have gotten rockpile seats on stubhub for $55. Check Ebay for better prices too- people on Craigslist are wanting WAY too much for them.

Just noticed that. Calling it off.

I could probably score some off a scalper right as the game is about to begin. Oh ... and they hang out on the corner of 19th and Wyknoop and near Rodizio on 18th and Wynkoop.

As demonstated by this young lady, if you sit out in the rockpile you don't even have to leave to take a piss. Just drop trow and let it flow..............

I'm scouring CL first to see if I can score some for a decent price. There are SO many people asking way too much money right now- pretty soon they're going to realize that no one is going to pay that much for a shitty UD seat.

This is usually true, but on opening day it wasn't even true. No scalpers had tickets, and it took me over an hour to catch a random guy with an extra ticket. There were lots of people that never found tickets and didn't get in. I'd guess NLCS will be even worse. People are crazy for these tickets like they've never been crazy for Rockies tickets before.

    Rockies World Series Ticket Information

    just posted on rockymountainnews.com

    http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drm...718310,00.html

World Series tickets for games at Coors Field will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m., the Colorado Rockies announced this afternoon.

The Rockies can qualify for the World Series by beating the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League Championship Series, which begins Thursday night in Phoenix.

Tickets for three possible World Series games at Coors Field — scheduled for Oct. 27, 28 and 29 (if necessary) will be sold at the following locations:

    Online at www.coloradorockies.com

    In person at:
    Coors Field

    Rockies Dugout Stores

Telephone orders will not be accepted.
According to the Rockies' Web site, line lotteries will be used at Coors Field and Rockies Dugout Stores.

Overnight camping will not be permitted at Coors Field. Parking lot A will open at 8:30 a.m., where the lottery will take place prior to 10 a.m. A limit of four tickets per person will be in place at all sales locations.

Ticket prices will range from $65 for Rockpile tickets (Sections 401-403) to $250 for club level (Sections 214-247) and infield box (Sections 119-142).

I scalped tix for Saturday's game and it was tougher than I expected. Early on everyone was asking at east $100.
I thought i would wait until the first inning was over and get something cheap. Ended up getting in on a $40 rockpile ticket right before the first pitch. I had some friends try to wait it out a bit and got they got skunked. I have had really good luck getting tickets for Nuggets, Avs and Rockies games in the past-this was certainly slimmest pickings and most chaotic event to date.

I hear ya, but the same people go to opening day year after year, often with the same group of co-workers, friends, etc., so most of the tickets are sold and claimed well in advance. Plus it's basically a holiday in LoDo so tons of office workers take the afternoon off and try to go to the game at the last minute.
This is new territory for Rockies fans and it looks like a lot of people bought extra tickets just to try and make a few bucks on CL. I could be wrong, but I think a lot of people aren't gonna get the money they want on CL and they're gonna try and sell them at the game.
But it doesn't help that the Denver Donkeys are off this weekend, so that's gonna add a few thousand extra people with money to burn to the bandwagon.
Who knows? I still think single tickets will be out there on Sunday, it just might take a little time and $$ to find them.

Edit: Good info gorms, I didn't go down there on Sat., and I didn't know it was so tight. But IMHO, paying $40, or $100, wasn't bad deal for that game. Typical Colorado sports fans jumping on the bandwagon, at least Bronco's tickets will be cheap later this season when they're 2 and whatever.

This is how good the game was.

I'm still trying to understand this lottery crap. Just let people camp out overnight and do a first-come, first-serve policy ... not that difficult.

It doesn't look like there's any kind of lotto system online- at least not that I can tell from their website information.

Did you guys see the prices on those tickets though? Holy shit.

Purchase 4 per CC and flip all but 4 for x3 the cost.

I wonder how much this system will eliminate scalpers?

And how pissed off are the people who waited in line going to be when they don't get tickets, but the people online did?

That's why the lottery system in place makes little to no sense. There truly is no incentive to go there in person.

If I was able to get 5 tickets (out of 2,000 available and within 15 minutes) to the Chiefs game when they went on sale earlier this summer, I can't see trouble not getting WS tickets online.
