Arrow Denver Area Mags - Quick Response (where to shop for coat?)

Quick response hopefully from Denver area Mags...

I need a new coat and happen to be in S Denver right now (close to CO Blvd and Alameda)... what's the best place to buy *good* (marmot, patagonia, cloudveil, ems, north face, etc top end expedition quality) ski shells around here for **cheap**? Used is fine... the only one I know I'm gonna check out so far is the Recycler... where else should I look? Need mega discount and preferably good selection (i'm picky)

ain't "cheap" but Mountain Miser is running sales on their winter stuff right now.

Basically Broadway and Hampden (HWY 285)

Go across the street to shotgun willie's and spend the coat money on strippers.

Isn't Campnor (or whatever they're called) just across the Wyoming boarder from Colorado? That would make it about a one hour drive, oui?

Nah, Sierra Trading Post is in Cheyenne, about 1.5 hr. if you're hauling.

Seriously, there's a North Face outlet on Colo just S of Yale (University Hills Shopping Ctr.). Mountain Miser as LB said, def. the most quality, plus some consignment gear. REI downtown, and there's also Wilderness Exchange about a block from REI which has lots of closeout/consignment stuff.

Hit up Alpenglow or Bent Gate in Golden on the way back up. Also sometimes REI dumps alot of their winter gear in the Lakewood store.

Mountain Miser (209 Hampden Ave) is blowing out their winter clothing and other gear. 40% off puts most of it close to pro-deal prices.

Hey wuerkel, if you got time, Boulder Ski Deals (yeah right!!!) usually has Spyder jackets for way cheap. I got a blue spyder jacket (the one I wore Sat.) for only $50. It takes some time to look around, but sometimes you can get lucky.

Army Navy surplus is usually good for the low prices. Its near Mountain Miser, on Broadway, just north of the Hampden overpass. I swear by the store for low prices, but they don't have much high end selection. They carry brands like Columbia.

Actually it is about the exact opposite of Mt. Miser. The Miser is over priced, even for they high end stuff they carry, and they have snooty people working there. Where as Army Navy has low end stuff at good prices, and the people working there look like they are on parole or just got of a plane from Russia.

That is correct. They somehow sense I'm white trash and can't afford the stuff, and know it is best to just ignore me.

Oh it's only a game. We're all just white trash pretending not to be, so we don't scare off high rollers like LB. (Althoooough... even if he's a high roller, LB is white trash too. )

Sorry to hear that ThatSideDown. Those guys are actually pretty good at what they do, and dirtbags like us who don't buy a lot of new gear can always get dialed with repairs, consignments, closeouts and other stuff.
