Ok, this by no means will give you all you need to know to go bc and be a avi guru but you are all invited.

Avalanche Fundimentals and Rescue (National Ski Patrol Course)

Sun Oct 28th 8-12

Register by Oct 11th, cost is $25 and covers materials and instructors.

This should be a great class, Kristi is one of the instructors that handles the Nat Avi II course in Utah each year. If you haven't gone through a Avi I course now's your chance and get to do it close to home and not blow a whole day out west. Any questions feel free to PM me and I'll try and get you an answer.
