In order to ride, what do you do for work during Winter?

I'm curious to know what everybody here does for work in order to be able to ski and or snowboard during the winter.
Do you work on the mountain outside? Work for the mountain indoors? Work near the mountain? Have to drive far to get to the mountain? Have to fly or drive really far to the mountain?
And what kind of work do you?

Edit: and if you move to the mountains for winter, where do you live and what do you do the rest of the year?

We are both making sure to only work PT and have our family of three live off of one full time income. We have to live frugally but with one job getting us really good discounts on gear we've managed to both get season passes and new skis,jackets,skins,etc.. The mountain is only fifteen minutes from our house and I fully expect to ride EVERY SINGLE DAY for the first time in my life. Granted, a "day" might just be a couple runs down some windbuff but I also intend on hitting up much of the amazing BC that this place has to offer.

I am at the mountain every day .. really, every day all winter. sometimes inside other times outside, often both in the same day. Sometimes it's work. They give me money (not very much) and a pass. There is a powder claus (which is way better than his brother Santa).

Same job I have in the summer. I just focus on getting the right days off. And often it works.

I work a proper desk job in a big city I aim for a minimum 50 days a year. That means every weekend where there is snow, every holiday and a creative use of vacation time. Japan is good about national holidays and I have carried over a European vacation package from working in London. Even so, it does mean a few sick days or unaccountable leave days. Work doesn't mind too much as long as I perform but I am very much aware that my career prospects are damaged by my focus on skiing over work and I have zero management prospects. Fuck it, I would rathar ski as much as possible than be a another banker wanker in a ferrari.

I save most of my vacation for winter trips. Having Thursday and Friday off

I work hard 2-6months a year then move to the other side of the world where I buy a sled and a season pass. Sled or tour literally from the backdoor and ride the lift on the monster snow days. I try to get over 100 days a season pending massive injury.

Hmmm.... to be honest, I minister unto the poor, maimed, lame, and blind, but never before 3pm during ski season. The mountain is 12 miles away so I ski every day. I'm not rich, but I'm living the dream as much as I can.
