    foot beds

Can't speak to someone on Denver, but Neptune Mountaineering in Boulder is pretty good. Used to be a guy by the name of Chuck Bird (I think) that was pretty well versed & respected.

As a former REI retail guy, it can REALLY be hit & miss with their employees for quality & knowledge.

You also need to consider what you want in a custom footbed.

You can go the full form way, spend up to $150 and get a long lasting, formed perfectly to your foot and boot bed.

On the other hand you can go with Zapps, microwave the gel, insert, stand and done. I got those for $40 last year. They are definately not a durable or well formed as some of the other options out there - but more affordable. And I have been very happy with them.

Go see Jeff Bergeron at Boot Fixation in Breck. You may pay a bit more but, you will get the best setup possible.

Anybody else with experience with these? I found the Zappos site, but they have more than a page of innersole options. http://www.zappos.com/n/es/d/722668850/page/1.html
Spenco's are about in the price range you mentioned, those the ones?
    Thanks!

Probably hit & miss for knowlege, but I got some 1/2 corks done at CO S&G last year and was very pleased - I don't think its rocket science, since these are done for all kinds of footwear.

^^For a cheaper, off the shelf insole, Soles are good if you have a higher arch. They absolutely killed my foot and I gave mine away after a few days. Superfeet have a bit lower arch for people with flatter feet.
