Never had them before, but its time. Should i just head down to REI and get set up there? If so what kind should I get, if not where should I go for the best fit/kind in Denver. Thanks for the info mags!

Can't speak to someone on Denver, but Neptune Mountaineering in Boulder is pretty good. Used to be a guy by the name of Chuck Bird (I think) that was pretty well versed & respected.
As a former REI retail guy, it can REALLY be hit & miss with their employees for quality & knowledge.

Lee Kinney at The Custom Foot in Denver
Chuck Bird at Neptune's
Larry Houchen at Larry's Boot Fit in Boulder
(in no particular order)
You also need to consider what you want in a custom footbed.
You can go the full form way, spend up to $150 and get a long lasting, formed perfectly to your foot and boot bed.
On the other hand you can go with Zapps, microwave the gel, insert, stand and done. I got those for $40 last year. They are definately not a durable or well formed as some of the other options out there - but more affordable. And I have been very happy with them.
Go see Jeff Bergeron at Boot Fixation in Breck. You may pay a bit more but, you will get the best setup possible.
I give Larry the nod up in Boulder.....he is awesome.....and he just a great guy all around.
I am not affiliated in any way with Larry...
Anybody else with experience with these? I found the Zappos site, but they have more than a page of innersole options. http://www.zappos.com/n/es/d/722668850/page/1.html
Spenco's are about in the price range you mentioned, those the ones?
Thanks!
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Probably hit & miss for knowlege, but I got some 1/2 corks done at CO S&G last year and was very pleased - I don't think its rocket science, since these are done for all kinds of footwear.
Lee and Larry are the best of the best, so says the word on the street.
Everything is coming up Brady.
Another vote for Larry.
4th'ed for Larry................I'm getting my new boots/bootwork from him this year.

^^For a cheaper, off the shelf insole, Soles are good if you have a higher arch. They absolutely killed my foot and I gave mine away after a few days. Superfeet have a bit lower arch for people with flatter feet.
