Looks like these guys chartered the boat, killed the crew, ran out of gas on the way to Cuba, bailed out into the lifeboats, and were found by the coast guard. Scary to think about for charter captains. Could happen a lot more often.

Sounds like the guy from Arkansas had a lot of legal baggage and was looking for a fresh start. I bet he was going to try to pass himself off as a Cuban refuge in a life raft and get a whole new life in the U.S.
Personally, I think these guys should be tortured until they admit what they did, then executed. But then again I was stuck in gridlock for an hour this AM moving a total of 50 feet so I'm a little biased....And the greatest ice must crumble when it's flower's time to grow.
