    Beer Run- Vermont to SLC

Any ex-Vermonters miss their local beer?

My buddy and I bought a 12 foot trailer to make the move from Burlington out to SLC. We leave on Monday and would be happy to bring some VT beer out for those that miss it.

Space is limited, as are funds, but let me know what beer you miss the most and we'll see what we can do.

I don't live in SLC but I miss Magic Hat #9 and Long Trail.
Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.

I don't get all the love for Magic Hat. Harpoon blows anything of MH out of the water, IMHO. And Tuckermans Pale Ale is a great one, more consistent than Trout River and with a Long Trail type taste. All praise to NE beers but I would love a 12-pack of Cutthroat from Uinta right now.

Harpoon ain't all that and a bag of chips. Agreed Magic Hat is a little too funky except when it's fresh out of the jug. Have you tried Long Trail Pale ale?

Does anyone remember a microbrew from VT called Kross? I had it several years ago in Killington, but haven't heard anything about them or been able to find them since. Going to their website brings you to a generic website, not a company one.

I've tried tem all. Every one of them.

...except LT Pale. What is this Long Trail Pale Ale. Do you not speak of the Long Trail India Pale Ale? If so, yes, I have tried it and liked it. Harpoon is still my go-to in '07.

I seem to remember a very good Belgian brown ale from those guys? I think they are in Morrissville on Rt. 100.

Be sure to stock up on Shed Ale, 9% alcohol! A little more kick than beer you'll find here in SLC.

    glug from the jug

the more you can handle the merrier, I've heard weird things about getting booze in Utah.

I'd also be stoked to take you guys on the Foco brew trail. 6 breweries in biking distance; with New Belgium & Odell's having a most funky array of suds this time of year.

Most from Vermont will want to be back there in the summer. But probably not back in their original flatlander states of MA or CT...
I told you to tell them
you was in a sanitarium, not sanitation.

take plenty of long trail ale.

IPA does not equal Pale ale.

long trail pale ale is their "standard" and my fav. I drove by the brewery yesterday Sadly I couldn't stop At least I was wearing a long trail t-shirt....

Funny thing is, in the seventies, it used to go the other way. In New England, we all craved Coors and would drive to Maine (from mass) if they had it! Amen for local brews!
