Walked into the local Rite Aid today, and stumbled into an aisle of Christmas stuff. Christmas stuff! On Sept-fucking-tember 24th! I'm tempted to never buy anything there again.

Costco has had Xmas stuff in early September for at least the last two years.

Our local Target has an aisle or two of Xmas stuff out near the Halloween stuff.

I love Costco and Target, but I too am appalled.

... like ... so what ... just one more pile of junk to ignore, and they're always putting something in your way anyway; I guess they're hoping that if you trip over the display, you'll accidentally buy something?

My tree grew on its own, the birds and snowflakes will decorate it nicely. Halloween and Thanksgiving are taken care of by the pumpkins and gourds growing in the garden and the oak leaves turning on the trees out front.

No beer? Rite Aid has the best prices on mainstream beer I've ever found. When stocking up for a party skip the good stuff and buy Pacifico/Dos Equis/Guinness/Heineken/etc at Rite Aid. I guess Newcastle's the best thing they have.

Thanksgiving is, but Halloween sure isn't. In fact, I'd say Halloween has experienced the largest amount of growth since my childhood (which was several decades ago and leave it at that) of any holiday, by far.

Agreed - Rite Aid has the best beer prices around! I prefer the 18 pack of Tecate for 9.99 in Kings Beach!

Hey, blame the TSA. I tried to put up some decorations a coupla years ago.
But when security saw me messin' around with lights and wires on the sidewalk, they tased me, bro!
