I bought this Hat Press off of Gov't surplus auction. It's in fairly new shape.
Heat element. Anyone ever use one of these?

Good runs when you get them.
Get some heat transfer paper (that is sold to run through an ink jet or laser printers- but be careful of the recommended material as you want to match the hats) and fire up the computer. Come up with some I don't know anything about how this works design, print it out. Then go to the dollar store and see if they have any cheap hats that are not already junked up with some company logo or saying- buy some and then take them home- I would again check the material and would not start out with 100% nylon or those cheap mesh backed hats that just scream farmer or country guy. Cut out the design, fire up the press and get to making a few test hats- trial and error. This transfer paper usually requires the image to be mirrored and printed backwards by the way- so it reads right when on the fabric.
Otherwise, go google the model number and brand to see what you can find or google screen transfers and see what they discuss on sites out there.
wow...nice work.
I have a manual now.
I know just enough to be dangerous.
Funky. Have fun with that..... looks more like a complex sex toy than a hat press.
so is that what its for then, heat transfer?
Is that a bone density scanner?
