Stone Vertical Epic

Picked one of these up at the Whole Foods on the way back from a bike ride just for shits 'n giggles because I'd never tried it before. I was expecting another hopfest from Stone, but what a pleasant surprise (nothing wrong with hopfest, I love Stone)

Muy bueno.


Also saving an 11th Anniversary for later tonight -- it says IPA and is blacker than the night itself

I was surprised, pleasantly, by the Vertical Epic. Was expecting something big and robust, instead it was more mild and refined. Quite drinkable and refined!

The only thing that bums me is it appears Fred Meyer kicked out the Lagunitas Seasonals to make room for it

The 11th anniversary is a nice mellow 8.7% ABV IPA. Delicious, but not palate destroying like the Ruination....FYI

LOVED IT.

Will have too pick up a vertical...although I never manage to age them longer than, say, a day....

Nice -- I look forward to the 11th anniversary which is chillin in my fridge for when I get back home on Thursday. I dig the ruination and don't find it as gnarly as the Arrogant Bastard for instance. I know they're different beers but I find the Bastard much more palate-destroying.
