    Question Cali skiing

    Hey,
I just moved out here to LA but I am still addicted to ski and brought all my gear out here. There are some ski areas close but they all seem like they will be boarding hills full with LA scum. Does anyone know places that are closer than Mamoth and Tahoe that would be worth a winter weekend?

wa wa wa. There's a whole lot of terrain to kick your ass in California. Sure, you have to put in the road time, but it's there for the taking. There's plenty of Maggots in LA who ski 30+ days easily every season.

You could buy a jar and a refrigerator. Collect all your tears in the jar, freeze them in the fridge and ski on an emo-unicorn wonderland of frozen tears.

Or you could quit your bitchin and stay depressed in LA.

    Those are your choices.

When the smog clears look north, north-east. There'll be snow in them thar hills. Get out of your car and hike, or stay it in a drive to Mammoth.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

i just got an internship offer in santa fe springs.

i'm actually kinda stoked on it.

so is big bear worth skiing or drive to mammoth?

i figure i'll just get to LA and find a rad surfer and figure out where the good BC is at. maybe i'll just stand next to the highway with a splitboard and wait for someone to take me to the snow.

i realize neither of these would probably work out.

either way, living in seal beach can't be that bad for 6 months.

    welcome to smelL A

go to mammoth where the other half of LA is on the weekends.

Or ski on Ice at Mt High and shatter your knee cap or elbow

or go to Big Bear where they have 129387292719213921 Jibs and somehow everyone of the lips is rutted out by some gaper faggot wearing $2000 worth of gear that gets used twice a season.

Or go to Baldy if there is snow, which there actually is legitimately about once every 7 years

damn am I a downer or what, just go with your instincts and surf. Sadly there is a reason why a good chunk of smell A people make the 7 hour drive to mammoth.

Mammoth is of course worth the five hour drive. For park Big Bear isn't bad, though it is filled with gapers. Baldy if it's a good year, but that seems to be pretty rare. But chin up, SLC is only 10 hours away.
