Who is burner

Anyone know anything about him? Only has 4 posts, all in the for sale section... is he from the other place (I never check there anymore).

He's probably a guy trying to sell some stuff, and he just registered yesterday- how many posts would you expect him to have? When you only had 4 posts, did people start threads asking who you were? Wouldn't that creep you out or annoy you? Why don't you PM him and ask, or actually go and look on the powdermag board, instead of starting a pointless thread?

no it's just that he regesters and the only posts he has is stuff for sale. i think what seldon was getting at is, 'how are we supposed to trust this guy?'

Don't worry. burner is an honest sort. All of his stuff is legit; I have known him for years.

There are plenty of people who do that, many of whom end up being contributing members of za collectif. As far as the "how are we supposed to trust this guy" aspect, there are plenty of ways to conduct safe transactions over the interweb without openly questioning someone else's credibility.

If seldon seen doesn't trust the guy, he should seek assurances privately or not deal with him. Simple as that.

Anyone remeber Inspector Gadget's first post on TGR? A long list of awesome gear for sale at great prices. Now he seems pretty much part of the party. Although I do remember someone telling him to"take it elswhere"...

back in the day my first ever post on powmag was to sell some skis... Doesn't hurt to ask for some background info, but lots of people find this place when looking for a place to sell gear. Doesn't sound too unusual.

I have met burner in person when I bought some skis off him that he posted on the powmag board.

good guy, transaction was smooth, skis were just as billed when i went to pick them up.

I just wanted to know if anyone had transacted (is it a word?) with him previously because all his posts were under the for sale section and I hadn't seen him around earlier. I was just really interested in some of the gear he had for sale and wanted to know if anyone had dealt with him in the past. Unfortunately, the $ did not pan out and I could no longer be actively interested in the short term
