So here is my first try at the MPC. This last weekend I hiking around one of the more scary places deep in the Santa Monica Mountains...ok maybe not so deep in. In Rustic Canyon in what is now about a mile or so north of the current northern edge of the Pacific Palisades is the old run down remains of what is known as Murphy Ranch. Through the years there have many many stories and the rumors about this place such as it being a place where albinos were exiled, a nazi camp, a hangout for Manson and his group, and so on. Many of these were just tales told by older scouts to younger scouts to scare them when hiking around in the area. But some of it is strangely true such as it being a self sustaining camp in the 30's for Nazi party sympathizers in the US and later on being a artist colony in the 60's and early 70's. Since then nature has regrown around the site, structures have aged and collasped, and many LA taggers have used the remains as a canvas for their tagging. More on the intersting history can be found by googling Murphy Ranch and Rustic Canyon.

So here are my 3 pictures

The old remains of the former power station at the Ranch

I am not sure if these qualify as they are historic "sites," but they are abandoned in the sense that nobody lives there. All from the Alcazar Real in Seville

    Third entry.
While wondering around a cabin at Bar BC I came across this onion. It was first thing in the morning and no one else was around. Someone definitely abandoned it.

Edit: For some reason, I was thinking that the deadline was the 30th. I'll read ALL of the thread title next time.

^^^By Far the most interesting thing I saw at the Candy Dance Fair.
Every once in a while, the hose would shake and rattle. I'm guessing that's when it sucked up a phatty turd. I'm pretty sure the hose man's mind was somewhere else, as his expression indicates.
