Went up and watched the quarters, semis and final today. Slater won his 34th, breaking Tom Curren's record.

Not like a 10. I called it a 9.1 and my buddy called it an 8.5. That one top turn was quite impressive. Taylor had a wave right after it that he did an even bigger turn on and probably would have put him over the top but he fell on his second maneuver. Both of us thought the 10 was inferior to Slater's top two rides. Definitely added some drama to the heat, though.
