lemon: yes, you can use trekkers w/ dukes. i wouldn't recommend it though, since you'll have to get out of the bindings to switch modes.

chris knight: you don't get it. stack height is good for you. better angulation. and, since dukes are all freeride oriented, think about skinning in super deep pow. the stack height will make you tall enough so your head is actually above the snow so you can breathe.

    What?!

Not the new Aviegills? I thought they were still highly experimental and at the very least required you reverse the polarity of the batteries in your stud finder.

Personally, I don't like being clipped in so I just stick with flat soled skate shoes and powder straps.

Yes, the new AvieGills. Experimental surgery available in only the best Indonesian hospitals. One problem I've found is they do require running with a 50/50 espresso and beer ratio instead of blood during the winter to prevent icing.

Huh, I should give that a shot. Usually I run it a bit leaner in the summer, more beer. I also usually go with a lower weight beer - some hefewizens. Winter I need the heavy duty porters and stouts.

The real question should be can you telemark on Dukes if you use trekkers? And before anyone "jongs" me, "yes" I did search

No no. You're all confused. Alpine Trekkers are for Alpine skiing. You need the Telemark Trekkers to tele on the Dukes. Works better with a Derby though.

You're all late to the game.

Mitch and Big Tim already skied this setup to death, objectively reviewed it, and posted hours of Interbike interview footy on it.

    Who's the Jassbag now, eh?

If I am taking a ski trip to south america do I have to switch which ski I mount the duke on in reverse?

Also, I heard a rumor that when I'm riding the park with dukes and trekkers, its impossible to rotate counterclockwise, can anyone confirm this?

Tanner Hall could, but I heard he died.

he was too strong, so when he tried to rotate counterclockwise he ripped his own ankles apart (which, skis still attached, landed perfectly).

a lesser binding than The Duke would've pre-released!

Yuuuulp. Thanks for the reassurance.

Edit: I did a counter-clockwise cork straight air the other day at St. Mary's on my Lotuses, which I decided to mount with Dukes. To give myself a little more challenge, I kept the trekkers on to ski and tried again. No problems, so I call BS.
