You should convince Jay and Sue to come up with you one weekend, they came up in June I think and we rode Government.

BCD indeed. Long story short, it's my old race bike for 04. I beat the hell out of it and it's still running strong as ever (from initial inspection). I can't believe I have it in my hands again...it's a sad story for another time.

Regardless, I've been asked by a power greater than I to go shred on it. So I must do as I'm told....

That thing has to be light as fuck! What's the total weight? Frame weight?

    Does it handle well? Stiff?

    Wanna play 20 questions?

    I'll answer those questions...hehe.

The bike is light, but not as light as you think. They are built to order-Fully CUSTOM- (at the time anyway) and Alex, the owner, knows me well. He built it to suit my 6'2" 200lbs. It's still a light bike, don't get me wrong, but not as light as it *could* be if you were light and smooth.

It is stiff, it runs a 20mm REAR T.A. and uses a modified 1" headset as it's main bearings. Also, I choose to run a 165 spaced r. wheel for a dishless rear end. It works and to date, it's the only frame I rode for a season WITHOUT breaking. I did have small hardware problems but those were usually remedied with a quick trip to Ace or just using generic stuff around the shop.

This was the bike that took me from a so-so Jr. X racer to having a legit shot at worlds. It was very forgiving and had PERFECT geometry...as it should, it was built for me!

Super adjustable, super stiff, ate bumps like no other (heavy rearward axle path) and custom. The year after I got picked up by C-Dale. Now that bike FORCED me to become a better rider...hehehe. I HAD to be perfect or I would pay.

EDIT: Now that it's sat around for 3 years in an evidence room in Arizona we'll see how it rides. Not to mention I've ridden some newer stuff since then......having a bike with chainstays that start at 15'9 and grow to 19 is always an adjustment....

    kidwoo, yeah it is.

Long story and one that I'm really not comfortable talking about to people just for the hell of it. All that matters is it's here and whoever wants to take a spin on it is welcome...

Dobish, you work at a shop. If you can't get a bike built in 24 hrs, I will be very disappointed. Why don't you come up and camp with us after riding Sat for some brats and beer?

it is not so much the fact that i can't get it built, its the fact that the parts may not be here. i will be there for brats and beer.

Kidwoo and I will be shredding Girl Scouts and Celtic way on Sunday, its gonna be sick. Theres an odd chance we'll get on a blackdiamond run, i here they have dubble blacks two, are those hard?
Saturday is still TBD, there may be a bit of SV poaching involved. Keystone is plan B, that ain't too shabby.
