BUY’EM (& Help out a mang too)! You WON'T be disappointed! They ROCK! They’re a bit easier to ski then most would think. $450 for new, well then split the difference and let’em go for 400 shipped. Hell $425 shipped is still a good deal & remounting could easily be done 2 more times with no problem. For prices under $500 there is no better resort/big mountain ski out there. I can’t recommend them enough! DO IT!

Those are gone. Now that SAC/backcountry clearance sales are dried up, I expect it will be harder to find affordable XXL's. $400-425 is a nice price for 4-day-used skis in the post SAC/backcountry era.

A possible great alternative, 07 Movement Goliath's for $469 - very comparable to the XXL - Sweet ski.

You won't be disappointed! Just a little FYI, you may want to consider mounting them +1 forward/ 845mm from tail. You loose nothing in the way of off piste/powder skiing performance but gain better balance & more nimble handling in variable to firm conditions. After a lot of research & help of a few mangs here, I found out that this is where Dynastar’s Athletes are mounting theirs & it’s really the sweet spot for mounting the 194cm length LP & LP XXL.

Thanks for the info ripper! 845 from the tail it is. Pumped to let these things run during a big day. Now wstdeep just needs to check his PMs.

You'll be so surprised, you will find that you will be skiing them alot more than just on big days. They rule the entire mountain! Well, accept maybe the park

    Thanks for that tidbit.

I just picked up a pair of 194 Pros and was debating going +1, but because they dont have the most massive tip and a small amount of taper I was worried about tip dive.

Im 186cm and 170lbs, so not the biggest, and I do prefer a slightly forward mount and to know that +1 is the sweet spot just confirms it for me.

Edit: Would like an opinion on this. Would the LP or XXL make a better comp ski(both at the 194 length of course)?? Comps arent always held in ideal conditions which is why Im leaning toward the LP for a better edge to edge while still having the floatability when theres some deep. Thoughts?

the xxl is a better all around ski in my opinion. despite having bigger dimensions and a larger turn radius, the xxl feels more comfortable and maneuverable in sketchy situations. the LP on the other hand is a hard charging super G ski that busts crud like no other, but is quite unforgiving if you find yourself in a tight spot at speed. point em and hang on vs. owning and riding the terrain. the LP has an advantage in the stiffness dept, but in a comp situation I would err on the side of more control and go with the xxl
