Will do. I'll have a couple others with me who may also need a pass, but don't bust your butt trying to get more unless they message you personally. I already have one coming from Yogachic. Do the lifts start turning at 8am? That would rock.

Thanks Uber for providing all that information. I believe I'm going to be car-camping along with some others, so your suggestions were good. Are you going to drive up with me and Nater? Naked people or no naked people, I def. want to check out these hot springs.

I can't wait for this trip. Can't wait to ski!!!!! I've been deprived for over a week now. Didn't ski this weekend - had the damn food poisoning Boo-hoo. Anyway, let's all finalize our plans for camping....unless Arty can do a better job of convincing us otherwise

Definitely count me in for the condo. WTF is this camping shit? Half the fun of the Mammy mini is going out, getting trashed, and having to merely walk back (or roll, in Pu's case) to the condo.
Speaking of which, where is the superstar? It was bad enough when he got a girlfriend and stopped skiing, now he's got a job and isn't even posting!

Johannus, are your coupons good for weekends? or jus Weekdays? All of the others I've seen floating around are weekday only.

If there are any weekend deals, I'm very very interested.

In yoga today, I think I lost 8 pounds in water. Jeez it's hot.
So I lifted the reservation on the condo, it has a 3 night minimum, and it seemed everyone will be arriving on Friday. Like I said, condo's are super easy to get that time of year and all prices drop waaay down. If you need info, I can help out.

Mammy corn report. I'm typing this from some coffee shop internet type place.

I left LA around 8am, and after a couple of stops for gas and jerky, made it to the hill around 2pm. A quick warm-up lap to kick the weary road legs into gear, then a ride up the Gondi, and bombed the traverse over to the noids. Dropped into P4 and the Gotamas were rockin' the corn. So nice. Got two more laps in on P3 before the Gondi shut down. Each time I cut to skier's left under the big cliff band. Holy sweeeeeet buttery corn!!!! Monster GS turns were made down perfectly smooth corn that seemed to have no speed limit.

I'll be here the next day or two to get some more. It's some of the best spring skiing I've ever done.

Sure would love to. I'd hate to drive out there all by my lonesome... I'll get in contact with you.

BTW, you picked a good weekend to go backpacking. Last Saturday, the Kings got POUNDED. It was nausiating. They played like 12 year old asthmatic geeks.

    DiveGirl,

Just to be sure you know, these are 50% off vouchers......

Lifts are spinning and open at 8.30a. The Canyon Lodge closed 4/25, so "upper mountain lift" access is limited to the Main Lodge, only. Essentially everything from chair 3, Gondola, 23 (on weekends), and possibly 12 & 14 will be open. 23 was not spinning today, but one could hike a few minutes and hit the Drop's and Wipe's. The Gold Rush (chair 10) and Chair 5 will be open on weekends; It's setting up nicely without the heavy skier traffic...

Last Gondy car to "Top o' the world" is 3.30p.

    Telenater,

These have no restrictions, they're even good for golfing and mtn biking. So they're good for weekends, as well.

If you're gonna be here, it's yours. Just let me know and meet me at the designated spot w/ DG.

Nice, thanks man. I don't think meeting up will be a problem since unless plans change, I'm DG's ride.....

    Ok, cool!

And...yeah. I didn't go backpacking this past weekend. In fact, I went for a hike on Saturday, couldn't even make 3 miles, and then all day Sunday sat on my ass. I had food poisoning since Wednesday, but you knew that already. Totally sucks it lasted through the whole weekend!!
Edit: Oh yeah the Kings sucked big balls this weekend. But they redeemed themselves on Monday

I went last night. Know what I hate? I hate sitting cross-legged. 20 minutes we sat there - yuk! It hurts, it doesn't feel good - even after we are done. The other stuff is ok, especially the low back and hamstring stretches.

I also hate it when the instructor rings that little gong, blows smoke (incest - it's still smoke) in my face, and starts mis-labeling body parts. That last one was funny. I think I was the only one who chuckled at it though.
Bullet- where do you practice? My teachers don't use a gong, nor do they burn incense. I take that back, I've had two teachers who do - Erich S and Ira R (who is now Govindas or something - and he also plays a bizarre organ at the end of class while singing...). I like my yoga pretty straightforward - deep, twisty, strong. Not a whole lot of sitting. Of course, there's always Savasana . As one of my instructors always says - after a class, we've used every single muscle in our body and used them in ways that we never would in an ordinary day. Every inch is massaged and strengthened. I've been practicing since 1986 or 87...

Nate: Count me in. PM me for departure time and place (never been to su casa). I'll go in on a condo if people are getting one, but I have camping gear ***and the hot springs guide to CA and NV***.

Unless, of course, someone is leaving the Bay Area earlier or coming back later, at which point I'm glad to take extra days in the BC and/or use up my last Squaw voucher.

They hired a new instructor who spends too much time "reaching the inner you". I'll probably look elsewhere or just stretch at home.
Bullet, so hot right now... I tried Yoga with my girlfriend a couple of times. Snap it's hard!! I consider myself a pretty fit guy but my body just wasn't meant to do some of that stuff. I'll stick to the stair master and sex for my forms of exercise

Bullet - there should be a decent yoga studio near you - I did a search and came up with this. . edit: i notice it doesn't show the result - but there's something called
    The Yoga Room
    505 S. Villa Real Dr., Suite 103B
    Anaheim Hills, California 92807

I think there's no better way to stay in shape and prep for next season. Hatha yoga isn't just about stretching- it's about getting your body warm enough through strength poses and sun salutes to be able to stretch deeper into each pose.

Now, back to the regularly scheduled thread about the mammoth mini. I'm getting excited, anyone else? It'll be cool to meet you guys and put names to faces.
