Well, I just got the official word... my work's not taking me back this summer. As such, I'll either be moved out to California or still unemployed in May. Either way, I'm in!

So the list of people of people who are interested in getting a condo for the weekend of May 7 - May 9 is:

    tuffy109
    CS
    Punani
    divegirl
    Haus+1
    Arty50
    Ubersheist
    DJSapp
    LegoSkier
    Me

I just called up, and the condo we rented last year is going for $110/night, so it's still a cheap place. It technically sleeps 7 (there are actually 5 seperate beds), but you could probably put up to 10 in there without any problems, so it seems to be about the right size.

Once I book this thing, I'll be on the hook for 100% of the rate, so I need some sort of serious confirmation from at least 3 other people that they really will be coming before I can book it (at that point it's down to $27.50/night). So, if you are 100% sure you're able to make it, send me an email at: hotmail@matt_allen_g.com (note the back asswards email).

If anyone has a better suggestion (like say their boss has a 6 bedroom palace that they can use for the weekend) let me know.

duct tape, you gonna be up this weekend? weird weather forecast - snow thurs, thunderstorms fri, then 60+ on sat and sun.
I'm heading up tomorrow. Will also be there for the mini, although not in the condo (although sounds like fun).

    Sounds good to me.

Mmm, Mammoth. Many good memories there.

Any idea on how long it would take to drive from SLC to Mammoth?

Boarderline: I believe around 8-9 hours.

Sobchak: I'd be down for that.

I'm still in on the condo, but the camping on BLM land sounds fun, considering there are hot springs all around the Mammoth area.

Keep us updated. I wouldn't like to go much over $27.50 or whatever, a night.

Edit: am I going to be the only maggette in the condo? Yogachik? Yikes.

Just saw this thread as was in BC last week. Mrs. Comish and I are very probable for this. I need to check and won't know for sure for a couple days because she is Yurop at the moment.

I have two extra coupons for a discounted lift ticket (can be used for a multiple day ticket) - if anyone wants them to use for the Mammoth Mini, pm me and I'll bring 'em.

edit: I think the ticket would be $35/day

No, not this weekend. Some really weird things going on for me right now involving several girls.

Yeah, I'm fo' shizzy down for the Mizzy. Don't need lodging, and may have some space for a couple people for cheap.

Anybody claimed these? If not, DIBS!
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

Conditions this weekend were typical (meaning goood) spring Mammoth. Bulletproof in the morning until about 10, then soft and fun, then softer and funner - then over to 14 (backside) for some fast corn. Parts of the top never softened up and were all bumped out. Yesterday, Easter Sunday, was the warmest and the snow got grabby around 1:30 - just in time to quit to watch the pond skimming contest.

I have a tank top tan to match my goggle tan - and the worst chapped lips of my life.

Yes, a few storms seem to be brewing, I like the look of those typhoons, maybe we'll get a couple winter storms, just in time for the mini...

Coupons are gone, sorry DJ Sapp.

    Hello Maggots/Maggettes,
I lurk here occasionally and a few of you know me from Mammoth. I ran across this thread and thought it was time for me to cave and finally sign up...I have 4 of those $35 coupons for Mammoth lift tickets if anyone can use them for your trip in May. PM me & I'll mail them to you.
I'm pretty sure that a group of 6 can use one coupon to get the discount, but you'd have to confim that.

...Whew, first post overwith! JONG away, I'm ready
