    TGR Summit lodging info!!!!

I don't even know if I'm going but in the process ofl of this I was talking to a friend whose sister-in-law has a house at Bridger. Sleeps 14, has views of Bridger from every room, nice hot tub, huge kitchen, 18 ft fireplace, the works. I can work on the rate but if we were to fill it at the advertised rate it would work out to $40 a person per night, plus the MT bed tax. I checked the availbility and the weekend of the 23rd is the only one not booked, if people were interested it's available as of Monday the 18th if someone is looking for an extended stay and good well into the following week. PM me if you're interested and I will be happy to call and see if the rate can be reduced. Being self-employed I have no idea wht my cash flow will be like, and just put a shit load worth of taxes on my CC which I'll be paying off in Oct, the unit requires a $700 deposit and with my situation being up in the air I can't commit to that yet. PM me if you're interested and I will make the call. If I'm going, which is about 70/30 right now, youcan bet that if you need an extra person to fill up the place I'll sign on. I'd just hate to see this go to some gaper family from Texas, yeah at least we have a winter in MN, so let me know!

I’ll be in a yurt in ID that weekend, but may be interested in some crash space before or after depending on the dates and length of the Summit.

wait, so what are the dates for the MT summit?
obviously, I'll be there at least one weekday if it's at bridger. I can't not. See my thread about the dusting at the top.
    No longer stuck.

I hope to attend, but am not sure if real dates have even been set yet. I would certainly be interested in this arrangement if it happens.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

I thought the dates centered around the free ride comp on Feb 23rd? I checked the Bridger website and the only comp is the Bridger Gully Free Ride on Feb23rd. After that they have the NCAA Ski Champs but no other stuff.

Dates for the Summit at BB, BS & MLB, as proposed by Jumper Bones in the poll thread:

"I'd like to set the dates from February 21st to March 2nd - that's a thursday to a sunday. I want to give the potential competitors some time to ski Bridger and choose their lines/get familiar before the comp on the 23rd. Plus it gives the working crowd weekends for travel days on either side; so it only costs 5 days of vacation time or so."

Based on what others have been posting, those dates make perfect sense for the Summit.

Jay sorry I haven't gotten back to you.

A Bridger condo does sound rad, however...there is zero nightlife. The only bar/restaurant there is in the ski lodge, and it closes relatively early. If you can organize a drunk bus and rally up a nightly war party into town, then that could work...

The way I think of it is this: the town to Bridger 'commute' is 20 minutes. It's 45 mins to an hour to Big Sky/Moonlight. However the evening activities are far richer in Bozeman itself...although Big Sky has come along, somewhat. If people want to condo up at Big Sky or Bridger that's fine, it just cuts down on some potential night-time fun.

Or, on the flipside, if you do all your commuting at night, all you have to do is roll out of bed in the morning and throw your ski shit on...

Yeah, I'm late to this party, but renting a house at Bridger would be sort of pointless. It makes a lot more sense to stage out of BZN, potentially moving down towards Big Lie for the post-Bridger comp portion of the summit. Not a TON going on in Big Lie, either, but probably enough to keep a crew of asshats busy for two or three nights.
