    Dinner help in Aspen???

Searched and didn't find what i was looking for..

The Wife and I will be at a Memorial party/wake this weekend in the Aspen area. I spent the better part of a couple ski seasons down there a bunch of years back....didn't have any cash to go out to dinner or party. I need some help as to where the best dining and drinking is. I spent lots of time at the Woody Creek tavern and love it but need some suggestions for walk-to places in town for drinkin'. I should treat my Wife to a stellar dinner also. Where should we go?---$ for one dinner not an issue.

    Thx, Schwerty

Jimmy's is good. Very good. I am very sure there are others but I was not there long enough to sample them.

For a nice dinner the Wild Fig is good. Spendy but intimate.

If money is really not an issue for this one dinner, go to Pinions. Super serial. Its going to be pricy, but is the best food in aspen, hands down.

Everyone should expeiriance food that good, at least once.

Pinions has the best food and is uber expensive
Jimmy's has great food and isn't terribly expensive.
    Pacifica is great for seafood.
Cache Cache got voted best restaurant, but I'm not sold on it.

PM me if you need anymore recs.

Bwah J-Bar sucks. Go to 39 degrees, Cantina, Jimmy's or Bentley's for non-late night beers.

Matsushisa or Takah- if you are into sushi and money isn't an issue, both are up and down depending on who's cutting the fish and what's in season. Otherwise, Johnny McGuire's is the best for me.

    Cache Cache
    Campo De Fiori
    Jimmy's

I've never been to Campo or Cache Cache but my girlfriend, who was a concierge, said those were the two hardest places to make reservations.

Jimmy's I like, although I always sit on the bar side because I'm cheap.

If you want a good place to see some locals and grab a shot and a beer before (or after) you go out for dinner, try Little Annie's. The block where Little Annie's sits is for sale and there is a chance it'll be gone soon, just like the Red Onion.

Lot's of good suggestions. I've eaten at them all and I can say, I don't have a favorite. It's really hard to go wrong in A town.
My wife and I like to just walk downtown and check out the menus and walk in. Let the lady pick. Then hit up the Belly Up or Eric's.

Elevation or Szyzygy (however it's spelled). THough I haven't been to szyzygy in a while, it was great when I did. I've been to Elevation more recently and it's always awesome.

I went to Szyzygy in January and both my girlfriend and I walked away VERY disappointed.
