    Surf's Up, Bitches!

    We'll see if this holds.

This is for Central FL. I have a romantic getaway planned with the Mrs. in Jupiter, so it should be a little smaller down there. Which is good because I don't belong in anything over head high. And even that's pushing it.

Anyhow, this should put the "ow" in "cowabunga."

Looking better. I might be in over my head. Get it? Yuk yuk...

(I and 1000 other Florida kooks are gonna get creamed.)

Just had our dose out here in Cali. Seems everyone is feeling a bit, nicer, this week. Let's hope this holds up and we see a swing into early Fall - with some late season Souths and early season NorWests.

Honestly, if you haven't been on it lately you likely won't even make it out. But good luck

He just doesn't want kooks like me in his online up.

The forecast, as it's wont to do, has gotten a little smaller. Looking like 4-6 and decent conditions. Hopefully that means mushy, easy dropins that wall up nicely.

    Ooo, I'm stoked!

    I hope the wind cooperates!!!
Howling onshore now...supposed to be NW tommorrow. I'll drive to the offshores if need be (North to New Smyrna Beach).
We always have the X factor of these little spinning vortexs where it will be onshore here and offshore to the north...or vice versa.

Surfing in FL is depressing sometimes.

Eff that noise...I have never had to do the walk of shame yet no matter how much dust I have had to blow off my board

But yes...paddling through dumpy beachbreak when it is breaking way the hell out there can be rough if you are rookie to surfing and have only put in a few years with minimal sessions in bigger surf

I ripped the shit out if it!

It was super fun but I'm so out of shape. Morning sesh ruled. Wound up about 5+ maybe. I was terrified to take off late so I sat way outside, which meant I could only catch set waves. Had a few good rides, down the line, up and down the face, etc. And a few spectacular wipeouts. By the afternoon I was worked and only going for waves if they peaked right in front of me and all I had to do was turn around.

I still pretty much drop in and haul ass to the edge, usually outrunning the wave. Need to learn to milk that shit and do wicked cutbacks.

So how does it stack up against zero-viz, dump days in the Restaurant Chutes?

Just as fun, but there's no burgers and beer at the bottom of a wave.
