Unhappy is there a Plakespear update

I tried calling nils serveral times on Friday and finally spoke with him, but he was way to week to talk, and he is scared he will never use his legs again.

Not having the use of his lower body is really messing with him mentally. Basically folks some of the care Nils has to get because of this epi-procedure is just like changing a babies diaper. And that can be mental hell for Nils.

I tried calling him each day since then and haven't been able to get through. I'm very concerned about his mental state of things.

So maggots I need to ask a favor. If you live within one hour of Nils could you stop by and visit him. He really needs this.

Or if you would like to give him a call PM me and I will give you his phone number. He might not answer but a happy message from a fellow maggot would certainly raise his spirits.

    THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE

    TJ

Ugh - I hate to hear this. I hope he's doing ok .

Don't forget to visit his CarePages too and post a message. www.carepages.com, and his page is Nilzy.

(and isn't OBernardFranz actually Rontele? and if so, this seems like a really weird place to be trying to be funny with an alias. Maybe I'm oversensitive - I'm not sure).

    pretty weird place to say
    "PM sent ..."
    or " vibes "
while you thereby euphemistically encourage more spinal cord injuries staying even in the face of death with a strict idiom of heroicly conflagrated misty idiology,
that would take some more time to analyse ...

I would guess I am NOT rontele !!!

i.e. i have to break the ritual

bla bla bla death is O.K. bla bla bla

    then someone get´s injured ...

macho expressions like "Vibes ..." or "PM sent ..."

but no learning curve !! after you read about one injury you could also stop acting "the man" and start skiing carefully !!!

Just spoke to Nils a little earlier this evening, he sounded about as good as could be expected--which is still pretty miserable, but he said that even the bad state he's in right now is far better than the painful misery of a few weeks ago. He's on a lot of drugs, mostly painkillers, and then some drugs to take care of the side effects of the other drugs, so he's not the most alert I've ever heard him. He expects to get out of the hospital again tomorrow night after a second round of radiation, he was at home for the weekend, and then there's no long hospital stay expected for him in the near future. He's doing what he can and trying to take care of himself, but if anyone can stop by to see him over the next day in Cooperstown or after tomorrow when he gets home it might be appreciated. He said he'd try to keep us updated as things go along.

This is the "real" one. One is "O" and one is "0", the April 2005 registration date for this one predates Rontele by a number of months.

I would never joke around in a thread like this. Everytime I read about Plake, I get a pit in my stomach. Stay strong mang!

Let me be the first to say that this person is for real and made an offer of great help for nils. Thank you so much.

And everybody else thank you too. I've replied to the PM's and sent the ph# to call. I've cleared more room in my pm box to get out Nils phone for more maggots to call and cheer him up.

Thanks maggots and get ahold of me if you want to give him a call.

    Cheers

I think I just got confused by the fact that Rontele went to great lengths to claime to be both BernardFranz aliases in the Out Your Alias thread. Seems like a weird thing to joke about in that case, but whatever - I guess I just don't get the humor around here sometimes.

On to more important things! PLAKE - we love you and we miss you! Come back here and post and play. This place is not the same without you!

I just spoke with Nils on the phone. He finished his last dose of radiation. He is weak. Very weak.

He's on allot of pain meds right now so if you do call him he cannot talk long for the next couple of days until he gets his strength back. But keep calling him guys. He really needs it. Even if you just leave a message he really needs it.

    Thank you all

Shit! I just called Nils and spoke with him briefly but I feel really bad because the reception wasn't very good so I kept saying "What?" so it was really frusterating for him to speak with me I'm sure.

Anyway like others have said he sounded relatively good considering his circumstances. But what he sounds like and what he feels like are two totally different things I'm sure. They're still working on the pain management for him so he'll be in the hospital until Friday. When I asked about his legs the cell reception went out (dammit!!) so I'll try calling him tomorrow morning.

I'm really pulling for you, Nils. You are a fighter!! Kick this shit to the curb!! I hope your recovery from the radiation will be as smooth as smooth can be. We love you and are thinking about you. You rule!!!!
