    Freeride adjustments for ramp angle

So I mounted my Freerides up on some Explosives at boot center, per manufacturer, but my weight is now way too far back, and I can't seem to make the adjustment. This was not the case on my other skis. I emailed BD to find out about any adjustments that they would recommend to help change the ramp angle, i.e., remove the plastic gray/yellow thing in the front to lower the front part of the binding. This was suggested to me by many.

Anyway, BD contacted Fritschi, who basically said they cannot condone modifications to the Freeride and still honor warranty, etc. So, from speaking to others on this site and elsewhere, these are my options:

    1) Remove the front toe thing and remount the bindings directly onto the ski, thus slightly altering ramp angle
    2) Use boot inserts to shim my heels up (i'd rather not - probably would detract from the hikability/tourability of the boot)
    3) Use binding shims only at the rear of the binding to raise the angle.

Which has been most succesful for others, or are their other options out there i haven't considered?

hmm, i see there has been quite a discussion on this already. I started by removing the front toe things, but I guess I'll remount them and look for some binding shims that would work for raising the heels about 3 mm.

Just put some heel lift inside the boot, chances are you have some volume to take up, and it wont effect the tourability at all.

    remove the toe shim,
if you dont like it just put it back and if you break something (mine have been this way for 2 years) just add the shim back in and warrenty them
