    NSR: First Day of School

I thought the first day of school was scary as a student. It's WAY WORSE from the other side of the desk. In slightly more than 12 hours, I will have students walking into my classroom, and I'm suppossed to make sure that they learn some math.

Just remember..."You can't have any pudding if ya don't eat yer meat....Stand still laddie"

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

Holy cow man! Good luck and don't take shit from those pint sized POS's. I guess if you can teach a bear mountain kid to french fry when they should pizza then you can get them to solve a quadratic equation.

Good Luck! I felt the same way you did during my first year. It only gets easier as you go along. Trust me, I just started my ninth year. If you ever need any advice or someone to just bitch to shoot me a PM. I just finished our Back to School Night with parents. That is always more nerve wracking then students walking into your room. Either way it is a very rewarding job! Have fun and take it all in stride.

Sweet dude, good luck! Just like Rippinsick said, it gets easier each year.....and harder too. This is my tenth year in the public schools, and starting at a new school this year, I feel like a first timer all over again. Next thing we know, it'll be snowing
