Quiver prob. Dynastar XXL vs B-squad 189

I have a bit of a quiver prob here. I have a pair of 189 squads. Rode them 4months last season in whistler. Loved them there, but this year I´m thinking reveltoke. And that means more tight treelines. And i couldn´t handle my squads so well in the really tight stuff because of their overall stiffnes. They just demanded more speed then the terrain would give me.
The thing is I can´t buy a softer more "everyday" typ of ski cause I just don´t have a home mountain. I´m a globetrottin´ bastard who goes where the snow is. So I can´t afford having too many skis.
Right now I have 2 pairs and a third pair is on it´s way in a neat hellbent package. That means 1+1+1=3 pairs of skis. Quite heavy to drag around. But still within the margins of special lugage weight.

I have a feeling that the XXLhave better float with gigantic shovel, but is otherwhise pretty simular to the squad. Even a bit more forgiving as well.

So....should I drop the squads for a pair of XXL´s? Even have thoughts about the goliahts 191 as well. But I need som expert advice in this matter.
(with reservations for some inaccurate spelling)

BTW I´m 187cm 80kg, skiis fast and reckless.

Another possibility. A big and fun ski that you could huck some seriouse cliffs with and stomp em switch.

After hand flexing the xxl's as compared to my 189 squads, I picked up a pair of xxl's. I loved the squads but needed to be on them all the time or they just were not any fun. My squads are now for sale and I plan to use the XXL as my new all mountain ski. The XXL's are still burly but should be a little more forgiving.

    Get the XXLs.

Search for Phill's review of them; it gives a good comparison between the two if my memory serves me correctly.

Out of curiosity, what is the other ski beside the squad and the XXL?

I don´t actually own the XXL´s......yet. But my other skis are a pair of unmounte d ant´s 06/07 and a pair of Line Chronic wides 187. Fun fun fun in slush and park.

I ski in the same area (kootenays to REvy) and am about the same size. got the ANT as a small touring setup, and blowers as an everyday. The XXL is similar dims/flex to the Blower but a bunch heavier so I imagine it'd be just as good, maybe not for touring though. I skied the 194 squad last year and though it was good in trees, it really didn't wanna float going slow. No big deal, but on flatter ski outs it can be a pain.

Might be worth looking at the blower since they can be found cheap and are kinda whaty you're looking for? I might even be selling one pair in that area at some stage.......

    Goliaths

I've tried the goliaths a couple of runs in tight forrest and I have to say that they are way easier to ski in thight spots than my 194 pro riders for example. I haven't tried the b-squads or xxls.
The Goliaths feel really stiff when hand-flexed but they feel soft when skied in the woods. Don't know what they're like in the open.

The XXL is definitely the kinder gentler Squad.
