Struck out? Hey, not everyone can bat 1.000. See: your reading comprehension.
Maybe you should take a deep breath, and go back and read my post again. I mean, its pretty explicit where it says it didn't ruin our experience. My point was that after living there for 3 years, I think generalizations in either direction are dumb and irrelevant.
But obviously you've pretty much got shit dialed-in, so carry on.
This just in..
Idiot driving in Utah is much more of an issue to be aware of than Mormons.

I rented sight-unseen in Sugarhouse (excepting pictures), and am still living there 2.5 years later.
I've stayed at the Extended Stay on Union Park more times than freshies has bitched about it, and it's never been a problem. However, if you're looking to live in SLC, I'd be more inclined to suggest the Homestead Suites on 2100 S. Given that you're gonna be going between PC and Tooele on a pretty regular basis, I'd say location-wise, SLC or WVC/Magna are your best bets.
Also, I'm not sure I'd call the predominant religious culture an "issue", but it's definitely different here.

I was the Catholic kid that lived in Orem. Yeah, that one. So I'm not too worried about living among Mormons and dealing with the predominate culture. I lived in Parowan for a while and when you get hurt, they bring you casseroles. And that's ok in my book.
The Homestead looks like it will be my Sept. home. Although their hookers-n-blow party rules weren't clearly outlined on their website.
And yes, Panquitch girls are wholesomely slutty... Wrangler Butts Drive 'em Nuts!
did anyone else notice that the Pope changed his name today? His comment on the top of the page was quoted by Stumpy before the change happened.
I now return you to your regularly programed bitching about Utah thread....
"In the woods, we return to reason and faith. There I feel that nothing can befall me in life, — no disgrace, no calamity, (leaving me my eyes,) which nature cannot repair." -Emerson
