    Who wants a $360 quad?

I'm planning to get one. It's $360 new shipped to SFO. So if anyone around here wants one let me know (post here). We can get a group buy going and see if I can score a discount.

    *cough* hop, Alka, Agent00X *cough*

    Board pics and dimensions here.
    http://www.hawaiisurffactory.com/Sto...asp?SessionID=

    Dimensions:
    6'2 x 18 5/8" x 2 1/4 - this is what I'm getting
    6'2 x 19 1/4" x 2 3/8
    6'2 x 18 3/4 x 2 3/8

also available in 6'3, 6'4, 6'5, 6'6, 6'8 with varying width and thickness, and a bunch of thrusters so if that's more your bag, then let me know.

No longboards! (You'll jack up the shipping price for all of us. and longboarders suck it long and suck it hard.)

If you want one but can't pick up from SFO contact them directly to get it shipped to your airport of choice

Have you seen these boards in person? Pricing and dimension options look great. I'm thinking the Length: 6'5 Width: 19 1/2 Thickness: 2 1/2 would be perfect for my 190lbs. Seems like you know your shit, so any other info would be appriciated.

My entire quiver is made up of thrusters, and it's the main thing I've ridden for 20 years. I had a go at a Stretch quad and liked the speed and looseness, but didn't feel like paying $800 for it. It's a fun board to have in your quiver and has a different feel than the garden variety thruster. I'd probably be using mine on the small fun days up to 6 foot, and sticking to my usual thruster guns and mini guns

    Here comes the science

No. The only quads I've ridden are Stretch and the T&C shapes. I heard this Chronic model is closer to the T&C version. My bud in Hawaii has a similar ability, style and board preferences as me. He thinks this is a "pretty fun" board. Then again, I'm one of those people that aren't very picky or particular about boards- off the rack or custom is fine with me.

Agony! Thanks for the offer on this killer deal. I'm still in the 'no spend' phase so I have to pass. Somebody step up and score a nice board so you don't have to perform a resurection on something like this:

    Thanks again.

Sick board! Astro deck and Victory wetsuits- pure 80's magic.
I might be in on a 6'3", 18 3/4 by 2 3/8", I assume future fins? Last quad I had was a 5'8" Michael Baron (Joey Buran's shaper) which I took with me to college at UCSD (1983!) Faster than a thruster better hold than the twin- it was the fin set up of the future!

I ended up ordering a board. They did not have the exact dimension that I wanted so they knocked off a few bucks and since I was teetering anyway it worked out well. The only issues that I've had is the fact that Delta would not ship it to Santa Barbara, so they sent it Fed Ex and it came with a small ding/hole. Peter at the Factory has been awesome and is taking care of everything. In the end the board was a financial loss since the Fed Ex rates were so expensive, but he's still bending over backwards trying to make everything right. These guys are stand up gents.

On another note, this is the first board that I've had that has 4 oz on the bottom and 4x4 on the top, which is nice and light but I'm pressure denting the shit out of it with my knees duck diving. I'm also having to get a larger set of fins (comes with 438 fronts) since I'm a fat ass.

    Performance:
Well my last board was a 6'10" big guy quad 21 by 2 3/4 and the new dimensions are 6'5" 19 1/2 by 2 1/2 so it has taken some getting used to. To be honest I just passed my one year of surfing mark and have gone from an 8'6" long board to this, so I can't really make many comparisons with the new board vs other boards with similar dimensions. With that being said, I'm loving the shape and it really gets going down the line. The rear is a bit loose (mentioned the fins) but it is night and day throwing it around compared to anything else that I've owned. I'm just now starting to vert on the waves.....

So, for what its worth I'm pleased with The Factory and pumped on the board.
