    central coast

sometimes the so cal surfer needs to break out of the shadow of point conception to find some decent waves.

this spot is no secret but this section of beach was empty.

this day was flat in so cal. i love the central coast!

jalama - yes. they have good burgers! only place it is ok to eat burgers for breakfast.

up there today - actually it smelled like somethin was burnin - zaca fire

usually if the winds come up early i like to go hike out in the san rafel area. too bad about that fire, it has really scorched up a lot of prime wilderness.

Yeah the wind can be a killer at Jalama, as expected.

The Zaca fire just won't die. Been dealing with the smoke for over a month now. Checking out the burn maps the extenet of which has burned is huge and yes in some beautiful country. Here's the view from my front door the other night, when thankfully the wind was blowing the other way.

How was the Ranch? I expect pretty good as we were getting a little of that SW showing up north. Good to be getting a little something for a change. Finally got off the bike and into the water.

I surfed Sandspit (not the one in SB, the one in Morro) a week ago. Head high and glass. :-)
