    WTB:The Smallest Midget Skis Available

My progeny is turning two next month. She wants skis. She is about 2' 25lbs but can do flips on the monkey bars.

Do any Mags have any lightly used ridiculously small skis they could style her with for this year? Also we need boots, are the smallest ones out there really 14cm? She could really use 9 or 10s, though I suppose we could stuff socks in the end of some 12s or so.

Thanks Maggots, I could put this off til Christmas but it would be a fun surprise b-day gift too.

I may have to buy some from a rental shop later on but I thought I'd put this out there and see what is floating around.

    Try these http://www.levelninesports.com/head-...cm-p-2318.html

I might have some 70's if the three year old outgrew them over the summer. Blizzard Blizzis with Tyrolias if I recall.

When my daughter was two, we just put her in her snow boots and strapped them to the little plastic skis that they sell at LL Bean and some other places. Since all she could really do was slide straight, it didn't matter that there were no edges or real boots. Also, the skis' plastic bindings have free heels, sort of like something between a X-Country binding and a Tele bindings. This allowed her to "walk" a little in them - more like shuffle. The following year, at age 3, we did a lease of real boots and skis for $85/yr (that was 7 years ago). Unless you plan to take her someplace other than the bunny hill, the plastic ones will suffice.

It looks like These Guys sell them. I suspect by winter time you'll also find them at REI, LL Bean and/or on eBay. They look like this:

Here's what they look like in action on my daughter:

Fun times. She absolutely loved it. Plus the diapers make good padding when they fall down.

Enjoy. Take pictures. I'm so glad I used to develop film into digital when I took it to Costco. These are from the days before I had a decent Digicam.

These things are so hot! And 75mm waists too. That would make her relative weight to surface area of ski off the hook for pow float.

I think there are older ones of these around as well and at 67cm they are the shortest I have seen.

my son is on his 2nd pair of my first dynastars in 67cm they are awesome if your daughter is at all athletic (flips, OK) she will never fall with these skis
the 75mm waist is like a platform for munchkins and the base has fishscales so they don't slide backwards on magic carpets or in the lift line...

I have a pair of 67 cm Rossi Kidi Cows. With bindings.

    like this but orange.

    $30 shipped?

edit: And they have some fish scaling on the bottom to keep kids from sliding back.

I've got a pair of those strap-on sticks that are collecting dust, and maybe some small skis and boots too. They've been well used, but all three of my guys started on them. Littls rossis I think. Straight, old school dimensions, but got the job done for a season or two.

PM me if you're interested and I'll dig around.

Are those the same skis as the Dynastars just with Rossi cow graphics, ie 75mm waist? And do they have those bindings in there?

    If so I'll take them.

Edit: Oh I see that you already said they are with bindings. I'll take them then, sending PM.
