    gettin' my ride on again...

this past w/e was the first of the season where i felt it was "biking" season and no longer ski season (though I can ride yr round here, skiing takes priority over riding from dec-march).

did a nice road ride sat, about 70+ miles. from mi casa in mill valley out to Pt Reyes Nat Seashore and back....legs felt good, but those muscles in your neck and back that aren't built-up yet...ouch. beautiful ride, nice varied terrain, some good climbs and descents, and good friends.

got up sore yesterday, poped a few ibebrokens and grabbed the Blur for some dirt time. Headed out to Tamarancho in Fairfax for some sweet single track. trail was in perfect condition aftre the rain last week: nice and sticky, tacky, so you could just rail turns and really get that big ring cranking on the straight-aways.....

almost cleaned the entire ride (not bad for this early in the season), but had to pull out a few foot and hand dabs here and there on some technical/tight stuff.....

the wildflowers are in full bloom and all the hills are emerald green...beautiful here right now foir riding...

    Nice....

    hey tap,

love the burrito place on SFD! Good post-ride chow indeed....

yeah, road bikign in Marin rules....MTB'ing is getting lame though, as everything fun (singletrack) is now illegal....except for Tamarancho, and some parts of China Camp....its all fire roads now (yawn..).....its ashame that the birtplace of MTB'ing has become so tame due to trail user conflicts, politics, etc.....for MTB'ing, I usually now just wait till I am up in Tahoe, or hit the Nevada City/Downieville areas.....

Bend, huh? great riding there! that's not a bad move...
