One last hoorah!

The past two days were just sick sick sick! So much so that I can hardly walk because my legs are killing me from all the knee drops in 10-20 inches of fluff fluff!

Started out this weekend wanting to tackle the more technical lines on the mountain but those plans were thwarted because of control work. SO instead...I found even better lines, untracked all day for about 2500 vert of consistent pitch and pow. We had to end the day for two reasons...1) I just couldn't go on anymore and knowing of the travel plans I have..why risk injury. I'll take the seasons end on a high note! Not that the season is over. and 2) My riding partner Crow slammed a tree at high speed bruising his leg pretty badly...he could hardly walk back to the car. Pretty scary.

Had some major sluff action today and skiing it was so much fun, until it carried me through some shrubs and over a rock.

As always..it was good to see the MEats crew and Kevin out. Did you guys hit up Berry?

Off to the desert this coming weekend!

Hell yeah I hit berry today, I was the first to the top and the first to hike sisters (other than patrol). It was sweet up there, the first two runs there was no traverse out to lower so you could just open it up. Lots of craziness, on lap three I was halfway down when I hear people yelling and I look up to see a slide rip down the ridge. It broke right about where the boundry is on upper sister. Luckily the guy pulled out of it and no one was on the traverse.

A little later I'm out on WFO and I see Life Flight landing below on the cat track, I guess some lady passed out and wasn't breathing. Then life flight was called for a second time when some guy fell off the top of upper sisters right above flatbed, he ragdolled for a long ways, it looked gruesome. Glad to hear it was no one in your crew since you said you may go out there later. I don't know if MB cirque ever opened, patrol kept pushing it back cause they were so busy. Today was up there with the greats.

I prolly put down my best line ever today. Second run, top of sisters, I spot a tight, tricky line(for me) and make two careful set up turns then straight though the rocks, after I clear the tight spot I'm going so fast I'm afraid to turn so I straighted all the way to the rope line. While I was standing there looking back up a couple of guys skiied up and told me how sick it looked. Felt good

Was today the last day for the Berry gondy and the beer can?

Glad you guys got on it...had to work at 1PM, so spent the night down south and got sum too.

Fly..thats awesome! We were going ot head over that way but what we were skiing was far too good to leave! I would put those two tired runs of mine down as some of the best lines of the year! And its so crazy that no matter how much I've skied that area, Sunday, I skied two lines that I never skied.

The delay openings hindered us from hitting up Ogden and the Fingers. Oh well, I'll take 2500 vert of continuous pow turns over short shots like those.

I saw the Heli fly in as well. Hope everyone is alright. Last year, a slide ripped out on some guy and threw him off of flatbed. He was ok besides changing the color of his pants and pride.

Where was that line of yours? Off of Berry peak proper? Right LEft?

oh...I guess we have to hike like the old days to get to some of the goods since most of the mountain is closed. I'd recommend being prepared with your BC gear while up there...you never know what you could expect!

Thanks guys. Yeah, I have felt some progression this year and I attribute it all to skiing with maggots. That and the whole skiing almost everyday thing.

Stoy, the line would be lookers right of berry peak. On a little ridge between a chute and small bowl type feature. Damn, hard to explain, I wish I had a pic of the area.

If you exited lookers right of the large rock outcropping just above the traverse and directly below the peak...you may have skied what is called Lime...Lemon comes out on the Flatbed side with either a cliff drop or an exit through a narrow curving chute with a log in the middle.
