Why I take it so seriously...

I take this board seriously because....

I have been inspired..... because of trip reports, first hand accounts, videos, pictures and word of mouth.

I have been hooked up.... with gear, jobs, love, support, information.

I have gone through other peoples tragedies, their life. I have been invited into the warm fuzzy kitchen of many of the regulars that inhabit this twisted space of internet.

I have been bought beers, shown stashes, been given free hucking advice, bought great skis, found good people, given good ski tips.

I had people (thanks rune) help me fix my car problems.

My CAR problems. On a Ski forum.

I have been tought lessons in life, love, and friends.

I was motivated by this board enough to move to places far far away to ski, to meet up with mostly total strangers in a foreign country and band together for 2 weeks. I was motivated by this board enough to go after the things that I really wanted to do.

And I don't take kindly to other peoples purported attempts to shit all over something that I have been involved with for 6 years.

6 years isn't just THE INTERNET. That time isn't just something that is vapid, and unreal.

Time served doesn't give us a license to think that this place is the greatest thing since sliced bread either, but to somehow minimize the impact that this place has had on other peoples lives simply because it is electronic instead of physical is (in my opinion) stupid.

I get passionate about this place because I have history here. Others do as well.

You want to tell me that some place is "The Internet", that somehow because I happen to call this place home that in that regard it speaks less of me and I will tell you to fuck off.

Now, lets all get back to a discussion about whether or not frozen should take his pubes off with duct tape because I don't want to thrunt the board up with useless talk of something so serious.

I may not be around so much, but god dammit, you fuck heads mean something to me.*

Agreed, there is a lot here. A virtual common ground on the interweb. I have become a much better skier because of this place and there is nothing wrong with taking it serious. Aspiring skiers need a place of refuge to discus how much of a jong they are, read some good info, get advice to keep them safe and elevate their game. I have met and skied with iski a few times, his stoke was amazing. Did he ever personally attack me or endager me....NO. If he did, not sure that I would care that much. It does blow to practice bad karma, not passing on ski deals, taking advantage of good will from the community. Almost everyone here wants to make a difference, whether its a financial contribution or sound advice. By screwing up the chi of this place you make people think twice about sending a couple bucks or beleiving what they read.

Enough with this, the A.D.D. just kicked in, time to move on. There will be plenty more stoke.

I hope to meet many more mags, ski more pow and contribute when and where I can here.

Fuck that noise. I hate all of you equally but uniquely in a way only possible for each and every one of you. I would never want to meet you in person and I'd never take your advice or value your opinions. None of you can be trusted farther than you can be thrown and for that I respect you. I would never ponder traveling with you idiots much less crossing international boundaries, nor would I invite you into the important moments of my life. In short, I am using you all for sex. There, I said it and I am not ashamed. In fact I am not even real. I am a computer program designed by the suit to generate traffic. Wrap your head around that. You've all been fondled by 0101's.

I've only been on the board for a short while but so far what I love about this place is the fact that it is NOT just the internet. Sure thats where it starts but it extends on into real life. It's about ripping down by myself at my home mountain on a day with semi-shitty conditions when I hear strangers shouting to me from the chair "phillllll....its your internet friends". Its about pulling up at a resort I had been to twice before dressed as a Shakespearian pimp and knowing the guy in front of me- who is dressed for a day at the office and holding a pair of 215s - without ever having seen him before . Its about driving for 6 hours in the dead of summer with people you don't know to meet people you've never seen.

I don't know. I'm definitly new here, but I love it. And to my many haters' dismay, I think I'm going to stay.

I couldn't agree more with Odin. I've never understood the whole "it's just the internet" argument. It's like calling a friend and being a shit and then saying "it's just the phone, dumbass!". It's just a means to an end, the end being community.

    Fo real Odin, fo real.

However, the fact that this is the internet does draw some weirdos, kooks, and douche bags, but I guess thats unavoidable.

Actually I'm just here for Odin and Basom.

I've made some good friends here for sure and will continue to. All this stuff is just further proof to me that the general populace are f'ed up, at least here we take care of it. I'm staying.

I do think that Phill should split though maybe Jer too
