first snow in northern hemisphere for 07-08

was out biking yesterday and saw the first signs of winter to come. a little early but the weather up here near Calgary has been cold and rainy for a week with night time temps sitting around 5 degrees celcius. the first day in awhile the sun shone and I was right snow in the mountains. nothing like a little premature ejac by old man winter to fire up the stoke of the season ahead. I am heading out to the mountains again today and will try to snap a couple snow pics.

    cheers.

That is certainly debatable, however, I do get a funny feeling in my crotch at the notion that there is fresh snow up high somewhere! Soon come say Rasta!

Northern hemisphere is not equal to North America.

Was snowing in Switzerland last week.

We North Americans do tend to be a bit myopic...it is all about us after all .

i agree. only cam i cound find with snow on the hill was this one: http://www.banff.com/ski/index.htm, but i'm not sure if its current.

perhaps, someone could put a camera in thier fanny pack the next time they go out biking in calgary for those of us that salivate over snow pics in august like a 12 year old does over lindsay lohan(pre-rehab trip #2).

I posted some comments in another thread, but we were at Icefall Lodge last week and got the summit of Kemmel (10250 ft) in 10 inches of new, cold powder. You wanted pics? Here's the summit ridge walk. More pics at
