EnerG broken forwrd lean lock, fixes?

Using 2-season old Garmont EnerG's and in the end of last season right boots forward lean lock started to give up on tight places. Not good Boots are bit beaten but since still working well and fit nicely planning to fix them and use for another season(s).

Planning to remove original locks from boots and cut small pieces of aluminium and bolt these to the boots so that forward lean will be fixed. Not using the wlking mode much anyway since last season had some duck tape on the switches to avoid accidents with lock release.

Has anyone done similar mods allready? Pics? Any comments of preferrable solution or materials used?

    Cheers.

    Use SS instead of aluminium...

And if you wanna just try to fix it, lemme check my "new" EnerG's. I might mod the shite out of 'em and end up with a spare forwardlean mechanism...
