    Tahoe Mags where is this?

sorry about the poor quality, its from Disney's Soarin ride at Epcot. Its obviously Tahoe cause when you fly over the rock outcropping you see the lake, but what mountain is it?
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

That would be from the Mt. Lincoln Express (old Silverbelt Chair) at SugarBowl....looking at the Palisades/48's. Just by you mentioning Disney would always bring SB as a first guess. Walt Disney was one of the original investors in 1938.

although it looks a ton like sugar bowl , I don't think it is. If you've ridden the ride , you crest those rocks and you are out over the lake. If you crested the palisades at sugar bowl , you'd be going south over the pacific crest. I thought heavenly too the first time i rode that ride , but not sure.

Due to the proximity to the lake and the cliffs with a gnar factor of ~8.37, I'm inclined to guess Northstar.

This view on Sugar Bowl's page looks like the above with less of a motion sickness factor.

I dont think it its S.B at all. Although it could be the west facing slope on the other side of sugar bowl. That picture is too blurry to say for sure.

sorta looks like they flew over jakes from the west ...so the lake would come into full view immediately afterwards.

A couple of pics for your comparative pleasure.

    West slope of Mt. Lincoln

Palisades ridge on Mt. Lincoln, no large foot shaped lake in sight.

Looks like the south ridge off Rubicon Peak (between Rubicon & Maggies) as you would fly directly over towards Bliss state park.

That first pic still looks like the Palisades at SB on a low year. Its some of the most consistent gnar pitch at any resort in Tahoe.

Does anyone have a pic from last season for comparison? We definately had a low season. I think the outcropping is too big for Palisades IMO

its not heavenly. heavenly doesnt have a ridge like that anywhere.

could be northstar or sugarbowl(but i've never skied SB, so i wouldnt know).

After watching the video at 01:35, this would make sense with Heavenly across the lake. Nice huck off the top rock too.

I watched it four times before noticing the skiers.

It definitely is not the backside of twin peaks. I was up there yesterday, and it isn't cliffy at all. It sort of just rolls over really steep.
