not a real laugh out loud..

but i did.........in my kids grade school yesterday a green mini plastic toy soldier in the stalking position found its way into the fifth grade art teachers zen garden.

oh yeah, and my kid got a detention.

a fifth grade art teacher's zen garden would have been at the top of my list as far as targets for vandalism. zen garden?!? i can just picture the art teacher smearing paste all over his/her face while the kids are outside for recess... as in billy madison.

You should reward him and be proud, you've taught him well.

no this isn't an outdoor garden...it's kept on her desk..ya know, it's like a novelty item sold in catalogues and gift stores....little box of sand, comes with a mini rake....meant to be a soothing activity when needed....kinda like those smooth stones you caress to sooth your nerves.....

You know, the more I think about it the more I lol on this one! What your kid did is funny...and I'm thinking if I had a classroom full of kids, it would take a hell of a lot more than a zen garden to soothe my nerves!

don't know where you are with that one roo..... probably would have been more politically correct if a plastic godzilla had shown up in the zen garden.

    Noodles,
the detention actually came about because my son lifted the toy out of my younger boys "Shilo project" from the classroom down the hall where the soldier was playing the role of the miserable old hunting geezer from that book (which you all remember ).

this all more info than anybody needs to know.....guess you've got to be a dad to appreciate this

although i did get ms sprite to lol......all that counts
