Goddamn, that sounds like exactly what I want. No money though, if you still have these in a couple months, and want to get rid of them, send me a pm, interested for sure.

I thought the Karate Monkey was something off that dane cook skit
It was called the eighties, Ford was president, Nixon was in the white house, and FDR was running the country into the ground.

I guess I am dating myself... haven't been here very long. in hindsight, my comment was stupid, considering the gearage many of the TGR lifers must have in their garages

damn, I was about to PM you about them codes but I saw they were gone. Thats a serious chip in the tip there on those 138's, was that from one incident or just gradual abuse?

It wasn't from an impact...just delam and then cracked off. The rest of the topsheet from there back adhered better to the carbon, so it shouldn't grow.
I've got more suits than Liberace, but less than Eastvailhucker.

These were a warranty pair from my first gen pair. They probably would warranty these as well, but I didn't ask. Honestly, it doesn't affect the ski, so I didn't care. It may not look as pretty as a brand new pair, but I assure you they still kill it.

Dude, apparently you've never seen skied 138s. The top sheets chip...
    BIG FUCKING DEAL.
They're some of the most kick ass skis ever made.

What's with all the gay cosmetic comments on gear around here lately?

These skis with 916s for that price? Total steal.

Too bad I own a pair, and have another on the way...

Im not saying its a huge deal(I obviously dont care I have a second pair coming), just that nothing that major happened to mine so I was surprised at the size of the chip.

really im sure vicious was just being modest and the reason they peeled back like that from the tips is that he skis reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeely fast.

I've seen his pair, in fact I was there to see the tip chip like that. It's just that vinyl topsheet stuff they used that peeled off. My pair makes his look brand new.

Getting these skis with 916's for that price is just an incredible deal.

Do you have the long 138 coming?

One of the best deals Ive seen around here in a long time, I agree.

No on the long boys, I decided to go 192 flex 3 this time around cause Im putting dukes on them and will be touring a lot so I wanted them a little shorter sticking over my head on my pack in the woods, and a little less weight. Still trying to convince my friend on the 202's though to make the production happen...

actually, it is because a couple of the warrenty pairs had slight topsheet blems last season. i got a pair, vicious got a pair, and 1-2 other bros got a pair... folks that are cool enough to not care about slight topsheet nothingness. a little bubble in the topsheet that was sliced and re-epoxied. mine were the worst of them, have 3 of the 4 tip/tails repaired, and one pulled up like these did. the other 2 repiars held great. the tip on mine also tore and broke while skiing. whatever. it effected the ski in no manner what-so-ever. i am sure DPS would warrenty these for vicious if he so decided, and then he could sell them for an ass-ton more. but he didn't. he is trying to steeze someone with a sick deal... and you get 916's for free.

so basically, what you guys are saying is that we should remove the topsheet for weight savings?

I'm pretty sure the radness of the skis, as well as vicious's FS posts in general, has been well established by now.

He probably does, but they would have some sort of fur lining with a Gucci pattern.
